left work early to go to the kids very first parent -teacher conference. Seems they are both doing great in their first months of preschool so

Now I have to go to a dinner with the bigwigs from work. time to be on my best behavior.

World Series getting started. San Francisco is out in front quick. I want K.C. to win the series. Going to be tuff. But I did not think they would be able to beat Baltimore.

Hey guys, been a while since I've posted here and I thought I'd drop in and say hi. Didn't warrant a thread of it's own, so I'll just do some bullchitin' here in this thread. It's getting to be winter, we have a big storm coming in and I'm looking forward to hunkering down with a fire. Feels good to be burning again. Glad to see you guys are still hoardin'!

 

Hey hey. Good to hear from ya NW Walker! Where you at for that storm? I'm on phone app and can't see your location. Picture of your fire? Here is one of mine. Burns upside down in the Gassification boiler. I've always been a little different.

 

Hey there guys! Gasifier, I'm all the way in the far NW corner of the contiguous states, about as far NW as you can get without swimming. Calling for 5" of rain over the next few days! I'm just lighting up now for the night, cruising on mass during the days. Give me a bit, I will give you guys a burning photo as well. Be warned, my fire is even more different than yours Gasifier!

 

You near Seattle? I forgot your location. I've got a sister near Redmond.

 

I'm about 3 hours West, out on the Olympic Peninsula. Fire's lit, still warming up but the bench is warm from this morning and Waylon is pretty much a permanent fixture there. Those of you who remember my stove will see that I've made some changes, I've been working on it these last two weeks or so, trying out a new configuration.



I'll try to get a better shot of the flames once it's all warmed up and really ripping, it's pretty neat looking. That's a new window set up, so I'm still excited about it.

5" in the Olympics is just a light sprinkle. Little nuisance showers.

Made a trip there as a kid and took the Mrs. out there about 10 years ago to see it also. I love the coast there, Ozette etc.

 

Hoping to cut some wood this morning after I visit my parents and have some caffeine quick. Then cut the grass this afternoon, hopefully for the last time. I think I've said that before.

 

No rain up there today? I'm hoping to bring in a few loads of wood before the rain hits.
