Yes, for many they are a very desirable model. You have a saw with very nearly the power of a 066/660 that's just a little heavier than an 046/460. The only issues I've heard of with them are some ignition problems on the earlier models and you will also find some of them were the crank bearings will wallow out in the case. Be careful on those - some guys will sell you a saw that they say needs new bearings where in actuality one or both of the case halves is shot. Prices can be all over the place. Depending on vintage and condition they'll be anywhere between $350 and $600 for runners in my experience. The best way to find going rates for saws is to search completed auctions on eBay. Keep in mind though that for any given saw eBay is going to represent top dollar. Good choice!
I love mine to pieces. $400 and up, from most that I have seen. Prices keep going up as guys figure out they carry about the same weight as a 046 with 066 power . I built mine out of parts, and had it ported. Darn good running saw too.
I have one and I absolutely LOVE IT! It is an earlier model, but has an ATOM electronic ignition chip mod done to it, runs like a raped ape...... The best part? I picked it up on Fleabay last winter for around 280 bucks in RUNNING condition. All I did was put a bar/chain on it and tune it up.
