    Good write up Jay..

Propane is prevalent in my area. Where some places seem to have cheap LP, around me it's still fairly expensive (have not bought LP in 6 years, but was over $3 a gallon last I looked).

I like having several options to heat with. I know that my family will always be warm. With or without power. :dex:

True but not having burned them before and these being hardwood while I sure it that their soft wood pellet was what everyone loved last year I wasnt going to jump the gun on anything when I already have 5 ton stashed. Also I was trying to remember that there was another brand close to this name that wasnt so good.

If I see them again I will most likely get what I can put in the vehicle. Right now I have more than what I should need for the season, anything else is gravy.

Hardwood was what I was burning, Never seen the softies my way. Hardwoods were under 0.05% ash content, And the heat rivaled some of the other softies I tried last season. The best pellet I could fine at box store prices. No where to be found this season!!

I can't wait to try their softies!

Thanks, wildwest :) We were fortunate enough to stalk/hunt down some 'sets! We just burned our first bag last night. Last weekend, my area was out of pellets, so I'm glad we scored them when we did!

Well, The shortage looks to be in full swing. Lowes was totally out not a crumb to be found. TSC had 6 bags of GS on a pallet and neither had word on when they'll get another load. Ctpellet took the prices of his site, So I bet they went through the roof like last season. I'll call and see what the bag limit is, But I'll bet its like around 10 or so.........

Gonna stop over to HD tomorrow and see what they have.

No shortage here. This is a TSC near me (over in MA), and is the biggest horde I have seen so far this year. The picture doesn't even do it justice, there are about 30 rows, 7 deep, 2 high - not to mention the stacks sitting behind these that you can't see. I walked around the entire "island". It's about 60% Pure Fires and the rest is a mix of the usual TSC suspects: MWP, Inferno Gold, Nation's Choice, North Americans, Lignetics, AWFs, those non-descript white bags with green writing labeled "Made in USA" by Agricycle, Easy Heats, and one lonely pallet of Genevas. I was floored when I saw the sheer magnitude of what this place has on hand. For a minute I actually wondered if this was a distribution point for all the rest of the TSCs in the area. Here's the best part: At $270/ton and prices promising to continue going up, these aren't going anywhere! And wouldn't you know it: not one single pallet of Hardwood Heats on the premises!!!

Finally starting to show up here too. No pellet dealers in town, so have to go big box. Rural King is out. Lowes is out. TSC has Easy Heats, and potentially some Ozark Hardwoods, priced at $5.09/bag. Pellets are usually around $200/ton here, so that's pretty high. Good thing I got my stash last spring.
