Filling the wood shed for the winter. Always hate, a little bit, to unstack my nice stacks
    image.jpg
But, I did have some good help, Buddy, for those who don't know him.
    image.jpg
And the wood shed is filling up
    image.jpg
And the vacant stack is full of fresh White Ash.

    Better than getting a whipping!
Nice looking wood, looks like you had some Plesant weather to move it. I see you had the supervisor out there with you!

Yes he does loon! At a 1 1/2 years old, he thinks he can do anything I sorta remember being the same when I was young. I asked him how he was going to get down....... He jumped up to the full stacks from the partially dismantled stack I was hauling to the wood shed. He just looked at me and jumped over 3 more stacks. Lol. To be young again

Thanks bigbarf48, every year when I get it full in October, I have to sit out there and admire it for a while as it warms my heart and soul, knowing I will be warm this winter.......that's why I do it. Saving on the gas bill has always been secondary for me. Security and self sufficiency, and what it does for my mind and soul has always been my driving force. Have loved it for 40 years.

picture 042.jpg picture 042.jpg picture 044.jpg Next years burning is already stacked and drying. Most of this years is down in the basement already. I'll top up the basement late Nov/early Dec from the dry pile in the right side of the woodshed.

Nice post Chief. Can't be sad that you undid your nice stacks, only to make new ones somewhere else :)
