I had gotten one of those cheap foreign made carts to move wood just from the truck into the furnace house. I knew it wouldn't last but needed something quick at the time. Figuring I'd rebuild to suit when I had time. Friend was trashing out a riding lawnmower so I used pieces of of it. You can see the whole rebuild here: http://imageevent.com/kevininohio/woodcart?n=0&z=2&c=4&x=0&m=24&w=0&p=0 I wanted it narrow enough to fit through doorways. If you want an offroad version, obviously am wider wheel base would be needed to make it stable. On concrete and the distance this was made for, it works just great. You can get to close a 1/4 of a cord on it. Takes a lot of steps out of the equation when stocking the furnace house up for the Winter. looks like a Prostreet cart now.
Funny, did the same exactly thing to the cart at the farm after the "smart" horse ladied broke the axles while dropping round bales off a truck on it. Doesn't look quite at purdy though. That drop off look to be a doozie! You put a ramp I'm guessing?
Ok, now put in a nice electric motor and a battery and then you can stop pulling. Probably bumped the weight rating just a bit, eh?
You're a very talented person. You make this stuff look easy. My bagger on the lawn tractor was getting the best of me today..
I added a bagger to the 1 year old used tractor I bought and it's great for picking up leaves! Been a great mower so far!
Pic 5 is showing some awesome looking welds! Very nice use of the 'to be' scrapped lawn tractor parts looks like a monster mudder in cart form
Nice make over. I have the plain version but don't use it to pull in bags of pellets because I have one 90 degree turn that is better suited for a two wheeled cart. Let us know how you like it after you have used it for a while.
