    That should spark some understory growth.

    Replaced a huge pine cooling the house in the Summer with a not so big dogwood and a flowering pear here.
    After one pine came down in a hurricane blocking the front door it was time to take down the others.
    I like shade around the house, just not from skyscrapers that can do some damage.
