    Ok.
I was looking at the starter with tabs (plenum attachments) but was hoping for a oversize ring to sit on the furnace with a gasket.

That's what I ordered. Did you put that directly over the furnace and branch off to the ducting going to the plenum?

Yep. Right on the top, then up, over and back up to the ductwork.

I couldn't put the Fahrenheit next to the oil furnace as I had no way to vent it there without a long horizontal run. The Fahrenheit connects to the ductwork at the far end of my house. Not the most optimal, but it works.

343amc - your hot air duct looks larger than the cold air return. According to the st croix manual, my cold air return is supposed to be 10% larger than the hot air. Is that just a result of the angle of the picture?

The Fahrenheit has a 10" intake hole on the Cold air return and a 10" outlet on the top.

They do however want you to check the static pressure after install. I forget the number off hand. But you don't want the cold air return to be to restrictive. That will cause the distribution blower to burn up prematurely.

My exact problem, it would be best there space wise but the oil furnace vents through the roof. Next to it would make duct work easy but venting would be horizontal across the basement then out. I doubt that's allowed anyways... So close to the outside wall it goes!

Where did you get the hopper extension and cold air kit, how much?

Did you extend your original ducts so they are close to the endurance?

The extended hopper and cold air return kit came with my furnace (made the $1000 purchase price even that much easier). I had to extend my cold air return duct 4 feet to be able to connect to the pellet furnace.

Might want to check with a member here ( Kinsman Stoves). I think last year he mentioned that he had an extended hopper and maybe the cold air return kit. Not sure.

Ok will do, I am looking to get a vent kit. Trying to decide Selkirk DT-M or just a duravent 4PVL-KHA kit. Huge price difference! I could do the Selkirk DT kit for under $300 plus the pipe runs. Or get a complete duravent kit for $259

    Thoughts?

Selkirk all the way! If it's in the budget.

I have 4" Simpson Duravent Pellet vent pro on my Fahrenheit. I was not schooled in the ways of venting then. Since that install, I put DT on my Enerzone and love it!

I see DT is a lot cheaper than DT-M

I can get a DT kit for $280 but the Dt-M is $549 both do not include lengths

the up and out kit I used for my basement install was about 4 bills. Contact don2222 for a quote. I bought mine locally.

I did, $740 for DT, he doesn't have DT-M. It included straight pipe, vacuum clean out and bracket.

I would stick with Multi fuel for that unit. Just in case a cheaper and more viable bio-fuel comes along.

Unless you want to be stuck with pellets. But if seed, shells, corn, or some other fuel is $100 a ton cheaper, your gonna kick yourself in the rear. :)

I have one 6" bracket I didn't use (I only used the 4" bracket to hold the clean out T). I'd send it to you if you wanted it? And the vacuum clean out might be nice? But removing the T cap is not hard. Not buying that would save a little money as well.
