It's a 1941 Dodge Military truck. Took me 13 years to complete and no, it's not for sale You can see the build in my other projects link.
Ok GREAT!! I'll take it then!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for you to ship it out to me!! Man that thing is nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea I mentioned the light duty f250 in my post. Were talking bout same one. Dang you quit driving it as a young in!!! 140k still is hardly any miles for a new vehicle these days!! My ranger has 300k on it and I havent driven it daily in 5 years other than short spurts!
Well, I stopped driving it daily based on fuel costs, not high mileage or anything else to do with the truck itself. My commute to work was about 40 miles each way back then, or a total of 80 miles. At 12 miles per gallon, I burned about 6 or 7 gallons of fuel a day, or 35 gallons a week, or 140 gallons a month. When fuel rose to 5 or 6 bucks a gallon, I calculated I could buy a Mini Copper S and get 30 mpg, which would save me about $400 a month in fuel. That savings each month, made the payments on the new car and some leftover. After 4 or 5 years the Mini Cooper was paid off, and I took 60,000 miles of highway driving wear and tear off the truck. So I basically got a really cool and fun sports car for commuting for free, and kept a lot of un-needed wear off my truck! And my CPA wife actually liked my math for a change!!
Ok, dude; SERIOUSLY, you have to take those pictures down!! I can't concentrate, and keep going back to stare at it!! That is the coooooooolest truck I have ever seen!
There is a group of guys with these trucks and old power wagons that eat at the barbeque place here n town about once a year. There is about 6 of them that show up...about like yours.
Yea sure, pile on why don't ya!!! Go ahead, post pictures of a whole bunch of these things and ruin another couple of days of mine!!
I had a picture on one of my phones. Its not on this one. Prob ably on the PC at the house. I won't post it cause I dont feel like digging g through all the pics.
Does my Truckster count? The power line guys came by today and took down a few trees on my frontage. I cut up all of the small stuff or else it would be gone by morning.
Thanks. I just put it away but I'll get some. It's got an OMC twin 20hp motor and hydro dump body - rated for 1500lbs. It's hauled umpteen cords of wood and umpteen tons of pellets for me.
Kind of a community with these trucks as we trade info/parts and such so I probably know them. I went to the National rally this year which is always held in Fairfield, Iowa. It's a 3 day get together with all aspects for everyone. Trail rides, truck pull, tech seminars, truck show, parade, etc. Here's a couple of videos for you from this years event. http://www.jaybgood.com/town-square-vid.html http://www.jaybgood.com/doug-ryan-black.html There are more pull videos if you are interested, just click on that guys channel to see them.
