I actually had to talk my husband out of the XXV b/c we needed more power. He was really pushing for it and we are talking about getting a nicer insert once the old klunky kozi at the far end of the house dies.

So funny you said that - I put the xxv at the back of the pile of options b/c I knew what my husband would want. I wanted the xxv too, but it came down to heat. In the end, he agreed and actually likes it now...but for a while, I was the only one being super practical and he wanted "the pretty one".

We don't need a big stove for our place so the XXV is actually a bit overkill. I tried to convince her otherwise but she made a good point. We have to look at this stove every day for a long time. Gulp. So I got to burn pellets and she got her XXV. Both happy! And you want to keep the boss happy.:D

I totally understand! They say to get a stove bigger than you need anyway. I really wish we could have gotten the xxv but I'll just keep oogling the posts here :)

Down the road you could always replace the clunky kozi with an XXV. ;)

You read my mind jtakeman ! I hope it'll last another few years so we don't have to shell out the money just yet...but when it's time to bury the kozi, I think an xxv is in our future. Gotta keep the husband happy, that's my motto. Of ocurse, it will make me happy too :)

I think because I can actually hear "Welcome" in Capt Kirk's voice. Still chuckling...

For me I keep hearing the jingle 'Price line Negotiator' and Shatner is all kung fu like.
