Glad we fired up last night. It's raw out there! A mix of silver maple and ash took the chill off nicely.
32º on the back porch this morning. Ash and some Maple burning in the boiler. Dead deer in our driveway that got hit last night. Apparently the person who hit it did not want to stop for some reason.
30 outside this a.m., so, of course I lit it up. Threw in a couple gnarly pieces of pine in about 1/2 hour ago. BrowningBAR, looks like the blower is working nicely to keep pulling heat off the stove, even when it's down to 200 or less. I keep it on lowest setting, but that may change as it gets colder.
Overnight lows in the 3os last few days, but back to highs in the 60s & lows in the 40s-50s this week. So I did light a few fires. Red maples during shoulder season. After that white/pin/red oak, and sugar/Norway maple.
Looks like 32º this morning. Ash and some Spruce burning in the boiler this morning. Forecast says in the 60s today with mostly sun.
The nights are cooling down to the freezing temp here, but days are very nice right now. 64º right now. Might hit 79º tomorrow! That is warm for the middle of October around here.
Holy smoly. I can see it hitting 79º today! It only went down to 51º last night. Will only need to burn some Pine for an hour in the boiler this morning.
Yeah, I went out for a run this morning and it is already in the 60s by 6am! Probably won't need any fires this week.
Whoa, whoa, whoa..... Slow down there Bill..... I don't think you're even allowed to discuss that kind of stuff here... . Unless of course you had a few cold ones before you hit the pavement!!!
Had the first frost warning 2 nights ago... ... But right now its 72F on the way to 77 or 79... outside. Windows open. Stove is cold. Will probably stay that way for a while yet.
Don't listen to stuckinthemuck on this issue Bill Lion . You can talk about running here all you want. I like to run and do some strength training myself. I also like to have a few cold ones!
