    We are gonna take the cat to the Vet tomorrow. She has been sleeping all day and not touching her food or water for 3 days now. Today I went to pick her up and she cried loudly when I touched her stomach ! She also has what looks like runny eyes and big eye bugers in her left eye frequently. Does it sound like the flue ?

    Our Yorkie acted like this this past spring, ended up being he needed his anal glands relieved(they were swollen and infected) - we had him at the vet today for his annual stuff and the did them good thing I have a strong stomach.
    I think cats have these glands as well, but it sounds like it has an infection

    Hoping all goes well. You didn't mention vomiting so maybe not obstructed. Cats are complicated so the vet is the best first option.

    If she spends alot of time grooming, it is a possibility @ this time of year due to coat change. Quite common in kittys this time of year.

    Well the vet says she had a tapeworm and a virus so the cat is drugggggged right now lucky bugger ! :rofl: :lol: She was givin something that soaks into the blood and kills the worms and an antibiotic for the virus. She went and hid upstairs somewhere and crashed..... We will see how long that lasts with the stove going ;)

    Glad you got it taken care of. The meds might make her feel bad for a while. Hope she is better soon. It could have been a lot worse.

    Cats get tape worms from eating a flea that would be on a mouse.. The flea carries the tape worm egg somehow.. My Jack Russell had a tape worm coming out of his rectum,, of course he eats mice that have the fleas... So we gave him a single pill from our Holistic vet... I also add Diatomaceous Earth to my dogs food to rid them of worms or any parasites... You must use the food grade Diatomaceous Earth.     Thanks Saves ! Yes it could have been far worse but thankfully it wasn't. She's a good cat too it would have been a shame to loose her.

    Absolutely! Should never let your animal lick your mouth,,, they could have been just grooming their brown eye and have worm eggs on their tongue, now your it :eek:
