Here we go. The shed had not one piece of firewood in it. I fixed that.

I started working up 16 face cords of for sale oak. It should be ready for next fall. It is coming off the splitter at 25% and under. Some of it is ready now.

The things we do for friends. I’m at the cabin and an old friend calls for dry oak. Hasn’t bought from me in 5-6 years. I told him I was out of dry. He was very persuasive. Since I had the truck at the cabin I filled the back out of what was in the woodshed when we bought the place. He’s coming over tonite after dark. I scraped him up a face cord of oak.

My Tacoma is a wood hauler I guess.

Gonna have to set up a light out there. Hope he’s happy with this

Do you mean the gas pump?

That old pumper was last in service in 1967 and gas was 28.4 cents!

Congratulations on the World Series Title. We were rooting for the Brewers. So glad the took out the Dodgers and then won it all.

Finally got the shed full of my 2027 for sale stash. I’ll get some pics tomorrow. The old DR electric splitter never missed a beat!

Houston we have a problem. Why is my monster woods pile not monster looking?

    IMG_4794.jpeg IMG_4795.jpeg

And why is there a pile of empty pallets nearby? I need to figure out this mystery

I have solved the mystery. You guys and gals know where it went. On Oct 19th there was not one stick of fire wood in the shed. Now there are 19 face cords quietly waiting for 12 months then I’ll sell it.

    IMG_4797.jpeg IMG_4798.jpeg IMG_4799.jpeg IMG_4800.jpeg

Most of it came off the splitter 20-26 % moisture. According to my past experience it will all be under 20% if I am patient.

After each load that I split in the shed, all the splitter debris gets tossed in the trailer and hauled back into our woods. I fill ruts and depressions on my atv trails. It works pretty good. When I got done with the 19 face cords our leaf blower got a good workout. Blow everything outside!

Wife (who is the Champion log splitter handle operator) and I just spent 3 hours at the monster pile. We got the big row of rounds I cut from the junkyard all split down. And tossed onto the monster pile. So the pile is growing again. There is a doe in heat up there I saw the same buck 3 times chasing her around us. Her tail was up and he wouldn’t leave her alone. The rut is on in Southern Wisconsin. He wasn’t a shooter buck he needs another year to grow.

I am done cutting this fall all I have left to do is pick up 13 piles of splits in my woods and haul em to the monster pile. Now it’s raining so there’s always tomorrow,,,

Question for you gas engine hydro splitter guys. Long term storage (5 months) do you drain the fuel out? Or fill it with 91 premium with a heavy dose of Stabil/Seafoam? I am leaning towards filling the tank to prevent rust as my shed is very cold but talk to me.
