They have 5 pallets ready for me. Better go get it before it goes on their burn pile. I'll borrow the deck over trailer again...easy trip.

Just got the cost for my health insurance in 2027 and it is a 17% increase. An extra $169 per month. That is for the cheapest bronze plan, $7,000 deductible, no RX (don't need it since I'm not on any meds), with copays, and annual out of pocket max going up another $2k for in network. Out of network care is not covered at all.

Good thing I'm very healthy and my house is paid off or I couldn't afford health insurance. That will only be for 3 months until I go on Medicare - then I will still pay a healthy chunk from what I understand. And, I will have to get an RX plan if I don't want a penalty later to get it.

First time in a neighborhood since halloween 1992. 2 bigger groups of little ones w/ parents early on. 1 single little kid w/ parent later. Last, two teens that kiddo said reeked like pot and the little brother, none of them in costumes.

You guys been hearing more chatter than usual from preppers? I'm hearing rumbles about grid outages, but it could just be pre-election jitters and/or suppliers starting rumors to boost sales. Considering I don't really run in those circles i

I'm usually pretty well set for a month or more except water. River is 4 blocks from me, and I know the whereabouts of "ponds", streams and rills are in the local area are too, not a huge concern.

England Germany and Denmark (?) issued alerts that citizens need to be prepared to “fend for themselves “ for a few days without assistance. Including but not limited to 1 gal of drinking water per day

No trick or treats here. It's been a long time since we had any. That's good with me.

Brian, if you did trick or treat for FHCers , you'd have to bring out the big cooler of blue smoothies.

We had no trick or treaters either. Haven't really ever, and we stopped putting candy out a long time ago like maybe after year 2 or so of living here. That's been close to 20 years now

We’ve been at this location for 30 years. It’s in the country and on a secondary of a secondary road:rofl: . No trick or treaters in that time. Oh, and down a small lane so that has to be a deterrent. When lived in town we kind of liked seeing the little kids with their parents but the older teenagers were kind of irritating:doh:

1999 Silverado has 40K miles. I'd take it.

We had 23 kids this year. Perfect weather for them. We normally have about 12 show up. It was nice to see more kids out

Water filter and means to boil the water from outdoors? Flashlight. Oh, I forgot you have solar. How long can you go on your solar set up?

Adding 2 windows to our dining room. Of course one has wiring in the way and the other one is right where the support post is the wall for the flush beam in the ceiling. We can handle it. Just more messing around than anticipated. Screenshot_20261101_190534_Gallery.jpg
