Thanks Dave! Yes a metal roof. Going to have to spend real money to match the missus's green steel roof and will be the most coin spent on the project. If anyone in S. Ontario knows of a good roof tin supplier, let me know.
Yes. Last couple of years we had an accumulation of about 3 feet (rare according to my wife) but I think this roof will easily carry the load. Inside the prefabbed pallet roof sections there are 5 - 2x4 or 2x3's spanning from on end to the other to tie it all together. This is in addition to the 3 roof trusses that are on each side of the roof. I think that with with 8 trusses on each side with a 76" span, it should hold. Here's a pic of the compost shed that is similarly built. It held up well though the span is closer to 60"
Not much happening the last couple of days. Have you ever noticed how life gets in the way of a good project? My pastor offered me some unwanted fence sections for free. Went and got them yesterday and spent a few hours dismantling them today. Should make a good covering for the shed. My wife says she'll stain them to match the rest of the fence that is adjacent to the new woodshed. Here's what i got: That's about half of it. Here's the dismantled boards:
Here's our 2 biggest sheds. This one is 11x15x8... Other shed is 7x6.5x14' We have since added a middle wall on big shed
