Same price out here. That seems to be the best current "deal" I've seen around recently.

I still have enough stashed away to last the next couple years, but it would be nice to know if we're indeed at the point where it's as cheap as it will ever be ever again.

Might try the Dawn dish soap container. I was using a 1 gallon gas can for a while but it was still sloppy.

I have one old bar oil quart like this but the top and cap are just about gone. I should see if I can order just the tops.

I bought some cheap funnels from Habor Freight and use one of them when I am refilling my Dawn bottle from my gallon jug of bar oil. No muss, no fuss.

Why? I guess a sane person could ask the same of firewood in general, no? It's not like the trees are going to stop growing...
Welcome back to the hoard everything club :)

lol, ok, I thought there might be some kind of bar oil shortage going on or something. I a gallon of Stihl regular bar oil, about 3/4 full. And I have about 1/2 gallon of an off brand(blue bottle?) of “winter grade”. I do not think I can be classified i to the “BOH” club. Carry on fellas!

“BOH Club” shirts?? Imagine how many people would ask “Excuse me sir, what is the BOH Club?” MIND YOUR BUSINESS!

Bar oil is like firewood, ya can't have too much. Well, most can't.

It all comes down to storage limits, both with oil and wood.

went to the local TSC today and not a single gallon of county line bar oil to be found, not even an empty place on the shelf, all they had was husqvarna orange bottle for $21.99 a gallon.

Sounds like the one I frequent. I get a bag of sunflower seed every 3-4 weeks and the last few their brand is no where to be found.

Cost increase is why I started loading up. I remember the Stihl silver jug hitting $17/gal
The Husqvarna bar oil went from 11-19.
HD was discounting Echo to $10 if you bought 4 or more and then it went to 19. I liked the Husqvarna and Echo but they left my budget years ago. I still have $10 echo jugs that I’m using. I also bought a bunch of TSC at 5.49 or was it 4.99? Think of the savings 5 years from now when I’m still using $5 TSC bar oil. Hell the epstillionaires will be charging us for the air we breathe by then.

I’m guessing about 4-5 yr, so I have at least 5 years covered. If I can afford to I’ll be retiring from everything except personal use firewood.

That’s the biggest reason for me. Ordered a case of 2 stroke oil, should last long enough that the next time I need it, it’ll be double. If I see $5 bar oil I’m buying it all!

I saw $6 bar oil today so only bought 4 gallons. I better stop buying for a while.

Store called Family Farm and Home. One of those stores like Big R and tractor supply. I don’t remember the brand but it’s a bright orange gallon jug that was on sale.

Thinking back to when it was so cheap for a gallon that usage was never even a thought. Fairly sure I bought major brands for less than 6 bucks a gallon? Wasn't really even aware of the off brand stuff.
