This happened to anyone else? I woke up in pain to my neck and my head felt like it would explode. Moved a bit and became nauseous. Several trips to the bathroom to vomit . A couple more in the morning. So far i am recovering and able to hold down food. Taking it easy. It is now down to a sore neck but worried about sleeping tonight. got online and inquired about it, and yeah its a thing. One of the nerves in the neck is direct to the stomach. anyone experienced this? Or have neck issues where it affects you like this?
Sounds similar to some kind of a migraine. They can and are absolutely terrible. Definitely get it checked out. Good luck.
Where exactly is the pain in your neck? Is it for sure from the spine? Lots of lymph nodes in our necks.
Reference for where they are all located. I lost a good friend recently who suddenly started getting debilitating headaches 'out of nowhere'. Not trying to be willy nilly. He may have still been here if he had been to doctor regularly. He was without a GP so he only ever got 'emergency' care. He never mentioned any neck pain to me but wouldn't have unless it was bad.
Thanks. Going now. Update. No viral concerns but gave me some muscle relaxers script and a shot of souped up ibuprofen. Helps. Muscle drug is supposed to make a person loopy so likely will use it at bedtime
Glad you sought medical attention. Something like that, you never know if it could be something that really deserves attention (like stroke) or if it is just sleeping wrong and it will eventually take care of itself.
Yes bogieb , but once they rattle through the reasons and make you feel like a waste of their time, it reconfirms why men don’t go have issues examined . ** but!, it was the first time i used my Medicaid card.
Sourwood every nerve in your body goes through your neck.. if you break it then ignore it and arthritis fills in and pinched nerves… odd muscles just stop working period.
Oh I understand completely. Women are often not beleived, or at the minimum their reporting of issues are minimized. They are told their pain can't be "that bad", symptoms/pain/experiences are all in their head, it's just stress so exercise/lose weight/meditate/get therapy, it's part of being a woman, they are too young (or old) to have something etc. They are less likely to get a diagnosis or meds and can take years for a correct diagnosis after having to advocate for themselves strongly (and lets not talk about the heart attack diagnosis/treatment differences). Had a friend sent home 3 times in a week because they said she had bronchitis - when she was having multiple heart attacks and she ended up having triple by-pass at age 45 (and she was seemingly very healthy before that). I couldn't even get them to pull a jambed thumb back into place - they took xrays and said nothing showed up and was told I have a soft tissue injury (after I told them exactly what it was). Was sent to therapy, which made it worse. So, for several months my thumb was making a new socket for itself and it was hastened by the "therapy". A few months later I happened to mention it to my chiropractor during a routine visit. He pulled it back into place, and all was right with the thumb. Even now, over 25 years later it still sometimes pops into the false joint it had made if I use it heavily in a certain manner. Just think what if it had been like if they had believed me And, that is the situation where it wasn't life threatening. Sorry for the rant. I'm not trying to minimize your experiences. Many, many people (both men and women) have troubles with the medical system taking them seriously, or sometimes even having a clue, so don't tend to go to the doctor after a few lessons on futility.
I think you're describing the incompetency of the modern medical machine. I think back when I was a kid and doctors were doctors because they wanted to help people. Then my generation became doctors for the paycheck. The medical industry is all about the money now and the insurance companies have made it worse. They couldn't care less if you live or die.
The modern medical industry doesn't care about patients OR employees. My wife used to be one. They only care about money. Period!
