Same thing again this morning. 50 and raining. The gasification boiler is running good, making the showers nice and warm and keeping the chill off in this wet/damp weather.

I never have put up a thread about my boiler install here. I did that a long time ago on another forum. Hmm. I would have to dig out the old pics from the Laptop some night and write the thread out. I'll see if I can do that tonight. In the mean time you can check this out. Not much, but .......

Dam nate. So is this the middle of your winter up there? Or close to? Like our January here in Northern New York?

Thanks Gasifier - looking forward to reading that, I'd like to get a gasification unit out in my attached barn about five years out. Plenty of room for it and storage. Campinspector has shared a lot of information about his setup that I've read closely. In the meantime the two wood stoves will be a sufficient stop-gap measure.

Glad I didn't have to go "elsewhere" to read the thread. Don't like to stray far from home. :coffee:

To stay true to the original post, burning some cherry scrounged from a bud's house with the use of my wife's minivan with the seats pulled out. Get er dun!

Mid 40s for lows and low 60s for highs the next few days. I think it is time. Just might see a fire burning real soon here.

Yup. Right around the same here loon. Almost like you live in the same area or something. Strange. Some Ash and some Red Oak I found in the stack is burning in the boiler right now. Last night I ran the boiler a little longer and turned the thermostat up in the basement because it was going to cool down a little more. When I went to bed it was 82 in the basement.

I wish we'd start seeing some of these low temps. I'm tired of it being almost 90 in the afternoons down here :dennis:

Looks like tonight will be our first burn. No sun today to warm the house up. Rain in the forecast overnight tonight with temps in the low 40's and not much sun tomorrow. Gonna have to take the damp chill out with a little wood.
