Those are sharp. I want to add something similar to my "stove room" as well. How are they powered?

 

The powered ones are the four behind TV.

They have rechargeable battery packs that Hunter Douglas calls wands, easily changeable.

We have 2 charging stations, that'll charge 2 wands. So, 4 extra wands.

There was a remote left for them. There's also an app that we got working this morning. Bluetooth connectivity.

So...you're one window in the living room goes both ways? As in a bi-blind?

Actually, on the double hung windows in this house, the blinds are the same "orientation". In over five years, there have only been a few times where the top sash has been lowered necessitating the blind to be also.

Nice improvement to the house!

MikeInMa You are going to love the remote control ones. Our church has four blinds on the skylight 16 ft. above the floor. So easy to open and close. Downside to ours is when the batteries need changing, you have to go up a ladder to do it.

We contemplated getting something for the triangular windows up high, but battery replacement shut that down. Well, and the associated $'s.

During the AC months, the sun's angle is such that not too much comes in those windows . Heating months we want the sun to come in.

When we had the addition done in '88, we wanted the wall of windows to face south for passive winter heating.

Day 3 of the Coastal storm. We've had no issues, knock on wood. 55⁰/63⁰ waves of heavy rains and gusty winds.

The shore is taking a beating. I suspect there'll be reports of houses taken away. NJ had a storm surge that flooded streets.

No real plans today. Go Pats, go RedSox!

Chores and bookkeeping to do. Watched the Blue Jays win the last game of the season. Nice ovations for George Springer and Max Scherzer. Better performance next year I hope for the team.

Day 4 of the coastal storm. 53⁹/62⁰ overcast. Coffee tastes good, though.

Bands of heavy rain continue to spin over us. My rain gauge was just under 4" yesterday afternoon. I didn't empty it.

Scattered power outages. All remains well here. Again, knock on wood.

We're being told we'll see sunshine......Wednesday.

It'll be interesting if the road crew will be here today.

I'm thinking we'll get ourselves a change of scenery by heading out for lunch.
