It’s Fall Yall! Temp drop of 30deg this week ​

 

Yes, I shave it on and mix it in. I only do Cabot Greek vanilla yogurt. I usually get the full fat version, but if they are out I get the 2% version. If they don't have either, I just skip it usually. The only thing I add is the 100% cacao shavings.

I have gotten the plain in the past, but then I have to add my own vanilla and it never tastes right. Probably because there isn't that touch of sugar and I don't keep sugar. I think I've used maple syrup before, but the plain is just a bit on the sharp side and I haven't figured out how to tame it. .

 

Bug killed. The ash trees are dead or dying.

The tops are cut down and brought directly to the fire pit where the in-house-pyromaniac sets them ablaze!

 

The ones I've dealt with have been dead long enough that the top is either gone, or explodes into a million bits when it hits the ground...not often much left to drag to the burn pile

 

Ugh. Water softener sprung a leak in the basement. Everything around the valve and control board is soaked so I can't tell where it's coming from, but a lot of water made its way out. Looks like it had a slow leak for a while because the salt hopper is full of water, but it decided to let loose today. Thank goodness we were home.

I plumbed in a bypass when I installed it so we still have water. Not sure what to do now, going to have to do some thinking on this.

 

Sounds like a lovely mess, can't like that. Hopefully not much water damage good luck with the cleanup.

Our single tank Water Boss softener has a built-in bypass...can't recommend these Ohio built softeners enough. Excellent customer service...and it works very well...salt mizer too! Menards stocks them.

 

These trees are probably nowhere near as dead as the ones you deal with. the tops do explode somewhat when hitting the ground though.

The bark is still on the trunks and there are sprouts all over the trees. It's the last ditch effort of the tree to stay alive. I cut them cuz they are too unsightly IMO.

With every dying ash I cut down, there is red oak, maple and even the occasional ironwood that thanks me. Oh yeah, those danged basswood too......

Finally had the back surgery today. Doc said it went well but he won't know how well for about 5-6 weeks.
Still kind of drugged up so not sure how I feel yet

UPDATE ¡ Back muscles feel tight. But the pain isn't much worse than pre-surgery. But the really good news is the numbness/tingling down my leg is just about gone already
