Anyone want a Stihl MS500i 100th Anniversary Edition?

I feel the same way, but I also understand that something is worth exactly what someone else is willing to pay for it. That being said, I collect nothing.

 

A personal example from my recent doings...a set of wheels and tires I been trying to sell. Asking price is honestly a deal. Nothing but crickets around my area. Now, there is someone out there who would love to have them for my asking price. They just don't know that I have them for sale.

 

Contemprary coins and bullion don't really interest me. Coins of yesteryear with obsolete designs yes.

 

You could get a few saws loaded with extra sausages for cheaper than $5400, and you’d be a heck of a lot more impressed than you would with that anniversary saw

 

Good point. After seeing my recent acquisition of what an Echo top handle 2511 does in stock form im VERY tempted to buy a read handle of the same and get it ported. Mrxlh comment in my recent CAD thread convinced me. IINM Eggshooterist has the rear handled version. Dunno if its ported or not.

As I'm aging I seem to prefer a smaller saw for general cutting. Now to find one at a good price for this cheapskate.

 

I saw your other thread about your newly acquired echos! They truly are impressive saws! If you get a rear handle and end up porting it, I’ll get my top handle ported too. This cheapskate has been looking for an excuse to get another one ported I Definitely appreciate a lighter saw more than I did even 5 years ago as well. Have you had opportunity to run the new saws through the paces? If so, what do you see being the best application for the 2511 in your operation?

 

Ive only run the 2511 briefly bucking some limb wood at storage. Matter of fact its the lhast time I ran a gas saw. I may not even use the 620 and sell it. Wish it had a 20" bar instead of the 28 on it. Have a cut or two coming up this week and they'll get used.

Arent you a full time arborist/tree guy? At $400 for a port job cant blame you.

 

Not full time tree work. Just on my off days. RN by day. Non ported saws are sufficient for the task. Just not as fun

 

What ported saws are you running now?

 

Just my 357xp. Made the most sense to have it ported out of all my saws.

 

Given choice between equal value old interesting coins or old interesting paintings, I go with the paintings. I did collect a set of the new quarters I should add. Don't care what their values are, just wanted all the indivdual designs for each State and what image they choose to represent themselves. My State's quarter features an astronuat and the Wright Brother's first airplane. We've birthed 26 Astronauts to date including John Glenn, Neil Armstrong and Jim Lovell.
