My parents had their first fire of the season this morning and I would have lit my stove if I was up earlier. I have a bunch of cedar limb wood in the rack on my back deck ready to go.
51 right now. Not sure when we will light up. I’ll leave it to our family that we are staying with while our house is built to decide when it is cool enough.
46. Well, it is September, so I am starting a fire in the stove. It will be a short one but that is ok.
ahhh shoulder season. We've got some mid 40 degree mornings coming up But it's mid 60's this morning.
I had to look at a map to be sure. I am on the same plane as about Chicago (maybe slightly more North). I don't know where you are in the UP but using Houghton as a place locator, that's almost 400 miles further North than where I am. No wonder you get the weather you do.
71 with a high of 72 for the day. Just over 1.5" rain yesterday at 10:00 PM and another .5 inch since midnight.
53* last night and 69 forecast for today. Don't know how portentous this is but last night I was awakened by two large owls hooting away in the green belt beyond our side yard. In the past this has always meant markedly colder weather within two weeks but it seems early. The next few weeks will reveal whether this is just a couple of errant owls or the start of the actual yearly migration out of the high country and on to Capistrano. No telling with all this extreme weather lately.
62 It is raining south of us and will all miss us. I sure hope so. We went from drought to wet but it is at the beginning stage of harvest season so dry will be appreciated.
Low of 78f last night. 101f forecast for today. Come on fall !!! My name is Mike, and I'm a hoarder in Ok.
With any luck the bulk of the heat is behind us for the year. Other than the rain making outdoor activities sloppy nice to have the cool weather, house open and some slow rain to soak in for the winter.
78 today with 0.08" rain. Tomorrow they're talking 90's but no rain. Supposed to work on cameras at a construction site so won't miss the rain.
