Back from my road trip. Got some errands done this morning (bank, BMV).

Putting up another box blind in the AM. Hopefully the mosquitos aren't too bad, but they probably will be.

For those who said "we will never forget" yesterday was the 25th anniversary of the 911 terrorist attacks on U.S. lands.

Not one mention of it on the forums.......:(

Put up a deer blind, cut up a blown down walnut tree in a guys yard, cleaned up the barn a little, and now I'm canning salsa.

Couldn't get on the forum yesterday because of a Fatal error. And, just because it isn't mentioned, doesn't mean someone forgot. I don't mention any holidays or remembrances either here or on FB. I don't share 99.9999% of things in either place, doesn't mean I'm just in stasis.

I've done several activities in relation to the 9/11 anniversary, but that is private and I'm not going to post or posture about it.

Although the community of Petites was resettled in 2003, the church is being restored. It's coming along wonderfully. Dating to 1859, it's a piece of history that will remain for many years to come, in spite of its community having no full time residents.

It was almost chilly when I woke up today (55). Supposed to be 95 tomorrow. I would rather it be 55 than 95 100% of the time.

Oil change on the van and a little truck modification done this AM. The dreaded shopping trip this evening. I hate shopping but at least I'll get some Mexican food and margaritas out of it after we're done.

Is it possible to get a spider bite near the webbing between thumb and index finger. In waking hours. Long enough to swell up like BB pellet. And another small one next to it?

    Yes

They must have some plans for it, to be doing all that work.

There are still summer cabins in the community, but they must be accessed by boat.

I thought about breaking out the flannels a few days ago but at this time of year, hooded sweatshirts do the job.

It's almost time to begin layering; you know, t-shirt and sweatshirt? :salute:

It’s 44° Layering, :hair: windows are still open.. it’s only September: 40-60s gets ya motivated to get firewood.. heck my beautiful bride sets AC to 62° or Max low …. she 1/2 :canada: So that explains a lot

Great! Haddock is hard to find around here and I've always liked it.
