Congratulations on the splitter. That looks very nice. We took the fenders off ours too, I hit my shins a few times. When splitting horizontal, we had a few big chunks fall off and bend them.
That will surely speed up the process

The Fram and Wix are both 20 micron filters, which should be plenty fine enough, and appear to have similar flow ratings. I'd take a Wix filter over a Fram any day. I have no experience with K&N oil filters.

A quick session with the wire brush and some high temp black will make that look lots better.
I took the fenders off the one I sold my buddy too...couldn't stand them in the road like they are.
I asked him if he wanted them...he said nope, my shins bleed enough as it is already...plus the only place it's going is across the yard, so...fenders, for what?

A Husky dealer in a neighbor town called me about two weeks ago that a truck just dropped six 564’s at his shop. I looked at one yesterday. It had a 28 “ bar and a $1300 price tag. He said I’ll put any length bar on it you want. I passed. It’s too heavy for me.
He claims he only has two left,,,

Hanging out in my woods has finally caught up to me. My wife calls our woods “tick city” and I believe she is right.

I had a lump on my inner thigh for a couple days then it turned into a rash. Then it popped. I won’t go into detail but the skin around it became bright cherry red. (infection) Got to my PCP and he found a bite in amongst all the mess. “Likely a recluse spider or a wood tick” he surmised. He claims this cellulitis will likely turn into Lyme disease. I am on two different antibiotics for two weeks then a Lyme disease test will be done in 4 weeks. After two days of heavy antibiotics the redness has really gone down.

It’s always something. I guess one could say it was not a good day in da woods,,,,,

You should pray it was only a tick and not the mentioned spider. A gal at church was bit by one of those spiders years ago and is still suffering from it. She has sores that open up, heal , rinse and repeat. Not good.

I feel great. I’m still walking 4 miles a day. My brother in law has had lymes for at least ten years. He said his biggest symptom was his get up and go, got up and went. And some days every freaking joint in his body hurts. I feel none of this.

The other potential bad news from tick bites is where it makes your body reject red meat protein. Hope you don't get that.

The redness is 100% gone. And no more fever/chills. I am on the mend. All I have now is a hole in my leg. I think it will leave a nice scar.

Dr. still wants me to get a lyme test in September.

If the September test says Lyme, it was a tick bite
If it does not indicate Lyme, Dr says it’s a recluse spider bite
I had no idea Wisconsin has recluse spiders Dr said “yes we do”.
