I was talking about how worthless flu shots are the other day, and go figure I wake up this morning around 3AM and I can't breathe, room is spinning, all that fun stuff. Dosed up on whatever cold meds I had left over from who knows when.
Fell back asleep, woke up at normal time (usually get up at dawn.. which is around 8 now) and it wasn't happening today boys.
Got as far as making a sandwich for lunch, stuck that on the counter along with the donettos, filled up my thermos and loaded up the stove with wood. Dosed up on meds again.
woah... I'm plum worn out.... ohhhh. couch looks nice...
Next thing I knew, it was 2PM and the stove was about to melt down (draft was wide open). Dog laying on me asleep too.
Raining outside, 36*... 80* in the house and I'm cold still. Yep, not playing in the rain today.
Did end up going to the Fred Meyers and loading up on more cold meds. I even got carded for Dayquill?! Feel a bit better now.

Great timing to be sick, I'd really need to hire 2 or 3 guys to keep up with wood right now. Just today alone I got orders for about 10 cords and that doesn't count the voicemails that didn't mention "for sure" wanting to order.
I'm about 60 cords backlogged right now and out of birch logs at the shop. Have to work on the woods probably all next week.
Problem is if it takes too long, people get pizzed. I've had a few folks expect wood within the hr or two of calling... those guys I more or less tell them tough luck, good luck in your search!

AND even worse is I start a 6 week truck driving school week after this one coming up, which kills my day from 8-4PM, so

Gonna be working at night I think, in the cold... yay! Am considering moving it to the next available, probably in January when I'm not so busy.

Feel better. Your best remedy: dose of nightquil, a few shots of whiskey, get the room temperature up, wrap in blankets, sweat it out in your sleep. Wake up, shower, split wood. Feel better:)

I put a link and pictures in another tread. Didn't get it, the auction lasted maybe 45 seconds and they ignored my bid! I thought I was high bidder, and they go "sold" but to bit ne?!

How are you feeling today? When loose out on something like that auction I tell myself there was a good reason for it.

Busier than chit last night. I can get a lot done at home if we aren't busy. We had a pretty good little storm roll through around 10:30 last night.

I worked swings and mids for many years and didn't mind it. Swings is the best shift (3-11).

Been working 7ish to 8-9ish here (basically from light to dark)

Cold has mostly gone away. Sore today though.

Spent yesterday skidding wood and limbing with a probably 30lb Efco saw. Made my old 660 seem light!
