I got a call today for a 3 cord order. I’m not ready, but I still need 6 tires. Does 5 cords on the books in August qualify for Nashville level?
Thats awesome. Good for you. It qualifies if you delivered it all in one day and stacked too. I don't often do volume in the warmer months, but the last couple years its improved. Im trying to get folks to buy green/semi seasoned wood early so I don't have to stack/store it.
Tomorrow morning it begins. I’ve never loaded my 1 ton dump 3x in one day. This is where the ultra high impact extreme training pays off. A lady canceled on me last weekend because she didn’t want to stack in the heat. I would’ve done it for a small fee. The guy stacking 3 has some work ahead
Our Nashvillian friend would have 3 cords delivered, stacked and make the liquor store with time to spare! Trying to think of my record delivery day. Definately not three cords. Good luck tomorrow Jim!
I started filling the truck at 7am and delivered the 3rd cord around 12:30. They have a lot of stacking to do before they can use the driveway again and they are going to need more pallets. Open fireplace burners, so they will probably need more.
Are you just loose throwing it into the dump truck? Or do you have to stack it in there to get it to hold a full cord. No way I could stack 3 cords in a dump truck by myself in one day.
It was 3 separate 1 cord deliveries. I filled the truck 3x. The customer was only 4.7 miles away. It’s not like I had to drive a rick 200 miles to Nashville.
Take a closer look bud. You see that big air scoop on the front of the bed? All that air gets jammed through a mesh vent that flows super heated high speed air through the wood to knock it down to a 28% moisture level. No problem drying white oak en route.
Yeah I figured it was 3 separate loads. But didn’t know if you had to stack each one in the truck to make it fit. Handling 3 cords in a day is no small task, at least for me. I’m not sure I could do it. I might could, if’n folks around here would pay Nashville prices. Thick stacks of Benjamins are a great motivational tool.
