Ok, caught up on all the posts here. Yeah if we need to upgrade to a new program, then that's probably a good step.
Slowly getting caught up with stuff, these endless storms keep me on my heels. We had major rain and flooding in our area just the other day......been crazy here with weather this summer.
The Wood Wolverine mentioned a picture "resizer" being in the upload window, we will certainly consider that when looking at the software upgrade! He and others also mentioned maybe offering premium memberships, that too may be a way of curtailing rising costs to run the site......something to also consider going forward to keep ads away and/or at a minimum. When we get closer to doing an upgrade (gonna talk with another member here this weekend who's graciously offering his tech help in regards to that very chore) we will have a "think tank" thread and address all of the issues we've had here/ideas and improvements going forward. Til then, let me know how the site is working and if/when it acts up......and let's try our best to deal with the picture stuff (look up some tutorials for a way to shrink your file sizes) because I, like Jason and many others, love to see the hoards, dogs, tools, saws, cooking on the fire, family and wood stash pics! All of those things make this place great!
With the cost of software and services, I agree we should have a donation thread or a membership thread. When you think of how long we enjoyed this site free for so many years, it can't go on like that. Thanks for the update, Scotty Overkill
Here's some photo resizer tutorials I found in a quick search. Here's some resize methods for Iphone users: Here's one for Samsung/Android users: Let me know if this helps out guys and gals....
