That's a JAG for a 1ton!!

 

That's a 3500HD, so basically a 1.5 ton truck...but even so, that's still a load!

 

Load of old lumber scraps for dad's campsite

 

1/3 cord load of 13” splits for a repeat customer from last year. A mix of mostly red/white oak with the remainder being black cherry. 2 more loads heading to this customer before I’m done with the selling game altogether.

I can’t blame you! Largely depending on roadside scores and Facebook ads to build your hoard is a totally different game. I’d be keeping all my splits too if I were you! Good looking load of firewood

 

Sure is. I should get a lot more for the work involved, but makes for more of an adventure.

P.S., for anyone having trouble with size limits, who's using a phone or tablet, I find taking a screenshot circumvents the issue without sacrificing much. On my device at least.

A tad irritating when all my other forums accept the image as is, but what can you do, right?

 

Yeah if you have a high megapixel camera, then cropping only does so much, unless you take a significant portion of the photo away

 

I found that going to the menu on the edit page, select resize down about mid way, works great on the site and pics still look good. Then save it.

I don't have that option on my phone, so I crop as much as possible.

If you set your camera to take pictures at less resolution (megapixels / few posts above) that will help too. I'm pretty sure what you are running into is a size limit (X megabytes / MB) I'm assuming not an actual picture size (1920x1080 as an example) limit. Higher resolution pictures use a lot more storage on your phone too.

 

True but I’d rather have higher quality pictures. I can’t see myself, or anyone else, changing camera settings just to post pics on one forum. I do participate in other forums and none of those have any issues with uploading pics at the size/res I use now. I think I said it on another thread, I could dig out my 1998 digital camera just for firewood pics.

Did a little cutting and hauling out Saturday. Went back Sunday, got the rest cut up and added some to Saturday's trip before calling it good for the 100F degree day. Going to end up with plenty of chunky monkeys out of it, but still good wood with tons of BTU's in it.

 

Well there ya go...now were getting things figured out!
