Absolutely, tossing so much, and it takes everything out of me to get it to the dumpster. But mostly, she was suffereing out there, alone 15 hours a day without any company human nor feline nor canine, in an empty house without furniture, not even a tv to preoccupy her. Dad came home, helped cook and went to bed, they both said he was like a zombie last week (long days and 2 hour time change loss), will take awhile to adjust to. And we all know what it is like starting a new job stress. She's used to family engagement every night, not exhausted zombie Dad and no Mom. We tried speaker phone conversations but with all the tile, counters and hard floor it echoed and I could not understand them. It was stressing him too, not being able to be the Dad he's always been. I expect she'll be relayed to the state line before Wed (day my Mother's husband she knows as Grandpa and his band at the Senior Center one last time and sings with the band on stage), but like me, him and my Mom, all more concerned about her well being and she's great about sharing her feelings. We'll feel it out. Not sure if or when she'll see them again after we're moved out east omg. Yes I'm going to drive there to get her, pray I don't get pulled over. Emailed her church to see if someone attending Sunday services can meet me out hear, I can get her to a highway without risk to another parishioner, and pick her back there. So risky for me to drive with only and ID. Darm DMV and gov't hiring here, waiting for my road test since March 11th (13th? a long time regardless). OR, I can be a rebel and take her myself, risk being pulled over and not sure of the consequences, and it will ruin me that day and next, but it might just be the right thing to do.
I'm so stumped on what warm clothes to bring or toss! Do I pack our down jackets? Snow pants? Gloves? Scarfs/hats, themal underwear.
A guy from a moving van company in Cheyenne came today for an estimate. He said the minimum charge was for 3,000 lbs., so I might add some other dressers etc. if we are under weight. Then WWW said we'll hit 3,000lbs easy. Who knows! Selling my Blazer and his Army truck to a "neighbor". That should pay for most of the moving truck. Same neighbors are taking my chickens thank God.
Myrtle Beach area? No need for snow pants but it does get chilly there (30s) IME once you're acclimated to the warmer climate, 45 degrees will feel almost painfully cold though so hats and gloves may be nice to have on the cooler mornings.
I walked across a street in Stockton Cali in November decades ago. Thermometer was not that cold compared to Colo at the time but it was humid and foggy, breezy, and it froze my patuttie off! Realistically, my lifestyle is radically changed since then I won't have to go out in 45*. Just booked a flight for WWW, July 31. Weather better behave! Moving container droppin July 29, picked up Aug 3. He'll have Aug 1 and 2 to do his thing with possessions (I'm not allowed to pack his hunting closet lol). Neighbor and 2 other men will help one day for the big stuff.
Hantavirus. Mouse poop in garage. We lost our barn cat several months ago. Since then I found a mouse in the chickens corn can. Got it out, dog munched it then a chicken swallowed it. Sure enough next bag (they dump the bags for me), I found a xl brown mouse (?) with very round head. Idk, baby rat, no idea. Anyway I want to sweep garage floor before moving people come. I think I'll just sweep it and toss in dumpster (all dry droppings, no nests. Some poor lady near the southern border died from it like 20 years ago. Thoughts?
Pretty sure you'll be fine. There was hardly a day at our old farm where we weren't finding mice chit in the barns. 13 years never had an issue. Just try not to whip it up too much while sweeping it. If you're still nervous about it, put on a simple dust mask.

Wow, I dig it! Nope Jr High and High School girls here dress revealingly. -If their parents allow it , of course we do not but too many do. And both boys (more boys) and girls wear pajama pants to school. Even in public like grocery shopping too.
It's crazy what's allowed now. Like kids get a choice as soon as they have an idea. We didn't get a choice until we were 18 and probably better because of it. Obviously there were degenerate parents but not in the volume there seems to be now. Like a couple trashy kids per class. Seems now there's only a couple well put together kids per class. Truly I have no idea, it's not like I have any kids. I just speculate and hopefully not correctly.
Working on sorting 2.5 sets of pots/pand +/-. He loves nonstick which I do not approve of. Will I refuse scrambled eggs from a nonstick. Nope. He is an insufferable back seat driver while cooking to the point of....story for another day. He is a chef (no school, but great grandparents, grandparents and ran a deli and also an upscale Restaurant before coming to Colo.) Keeping his favorite stock pots, a giant obnoxious "hex" nonstick and the little "copper colored coated" coated one he likes Tossing the crock pots, I can get them for like $20 during black friday and Xmas. He fills them to the brim and there is burned-on stuff below crock I cannot scour out. I still have a couple with food, tonight and lefteovers from last night in a few takers fridge. Kid emptied the double cupboard under the counter, put the non-taking back in the cupboard, we can use those for the next two weeks. And box the favorites.
I definitely vote for the N95 mask with the medical issues you have. Gloves as well if you have them. Shower after the project is finished.
