Did some wiring in the new sunroom yesterday.

Added three outlets and ran a line back to the panel. I have to add ceiling lights and move two existing outlets yet but will wait for the framing (ceiling) to be completed. Probably next week for that.

 

I am liking the fact that he checks in. I would be pleased to see his posts again!

When been on our boat quite a bit as expected.

Friday the 3rd our company had a paid holiday and were out on our local lake with 3 other boats that are in our friend group. There was a storm that went to the south of us. We were watching the weather apps, every couple of minutes so that nothing snuck up on us.

Like I mentioned we were fine, the storm went south.

Not so lucky for these families though just south of us.

I'll say this though. The boat operator may have said that he was experienced, but I'll straight up say that he was inexperienced and put everyone aboard in peril because he wasn't smart enough to get off the lake earlier. Also the boat he was driving was a p25 nautique, sure a 25 ft boat, but a wake boat and not the best type of boat for crazy conditions. Also I bet that the ballast tanks were full and that only helped to sink the boat. This article didn't mention it, but a different one says that he turned and then the waves sunk him by hitting the boat broadside. That was a dumb decision, but not paying attention to the weather was a deadly mistake.

It's kinda hot and nasty already today. Not as bad as a couple weeks ago, but enough that doing stuff outdoors takes a certain amount of will.

I spent a few hours in the shop this morning building a paper tuner and getting my bow dialed in after installing a new arrow rest. I'll take it outdoors this evening after the sun goes down and get it sighted back in.

 

Grabbed a micro-load of wood this morning with my 5 year old daughter. She helped me load up the utility rack on the back of the car.
This was standing dead and a couple of spots were buggy so we left it. Otherwise it was a decent grab of cedar (almost certain of cedar). It took space on the top of my front full-sun rack.

 

Truck is still in great shape for her age, really. I can't fault ram for what is starting to decay.

But yes, it's a rust patch.

 

After seeing all of those light specs, I thought maybe they were holes from using a slide hammer to pull a dent out.

 

Looks like I’ll finally be trimming the huge silver maple close to our house this weekend. Renting a lift. $420, pick it up tomorrow 8a and needs returned Monday 8a. Not bad at all.

 

Made a shoe rack for a family member this AM.

 

Nope, screws. I'll paint them black when I get around to it.
