What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

My kitchen is 8' wide from wall to wall (at widest) and 7.5' long. That's it. fridge is outside the kitchen. In 1960 the kitchen was an afterthought because it was just a necessity. Nobody was going to be in there with the woman cooking or cleaning. I remember my grandmother's kitchen (from the 30's or 40's) and it was very small too.

To the right of where I am standing is the back door and I am standing in the aisle that leads to the stairway and living room. Behind me is a 3.5' nook where the fridge is and a place for a small breakfast table that looks out a bay window.

 

Oh, the work that can be done with one of those!

Oh, I dunno......maybe it has something to do with the way it seems you go through them?

 

Best described as functional, but from here it is viewed as this............

Mine is a 10x10 U shape certainly not ideal but functional.. so unimpressive not a pic of it in 200 pics of house

my beautiful bride of 15 years is constantly saying we should loose the entry, dining area and turn it into a 20 x 20 eat in kitchen!!

Yes I have offered compromises BUT the haven’t been accepted as of yet

 

I wish i had half the energy i used to have. But i guess nobody wins the race against time and age.

 

With a little help from me,

It'll be replaced with solid doors when I have the time and money

 

Not much land, but this is pretty cool. House was floated from one island to another and fully renovated. Sure is woody.

Ahh today’s job rake driveway… simple enough

When you add 100 yards of fines Shur pak or top coat (smallest stones on top of gravel road intended to pack tight) and existing drive has 8-13% grades when the dreaded thunder storms come you get ruts..

so no problem right I got a tractor and right implements..

putting on rake angles not right; go to adjust top link… broken not adjusting. Tractor supply opens in an hour

 

Used the truck for errands yesterday.

I noticed a mouse smell, urine I spose.....

When I got home, I pulled the cabin air filter and sure enough, there was a mouse nest!

Pulled that out, then blew out the filter and was not satisfied with the results.

So........another run for a new filter.

Managed to attend Saturday Mass at one of the towns we drove through which wew were grateful to be able to understand the priest. Our new priest is from Africa with a very heavy accent. Between that and my poor hearing, I have a "tendency" to not listen as well as I have in the past.

Pulled up the doorstep and temporarily replaced it with the ram to build a little strip of roof, and paint fascia/install soffit on the perpendicular wall. One of the easiest 12/12 roofs I've ever done.

 

On the way back here from Tennessee, I tried to tell this guy his tailgate was down while we were doing 70mph. He just smiled and waved. . I then proceeded to watch some stuff fall out and get run over by his trailer.

 

As my good buddy says... "people are idiots, man!"

 

I'm sure he was probably thinking I was telling him to slow down.... Kinda hard to do hand signals and read lips while we were both pulling trailers.

It was a "bro truck" pulling, what I think was, a Cobalt drag car. Hopefully he'll understand what I was trying to say when they got home.

 

Squatting I'm sure...and a giant fart can muffler on the car?
