Soaked to the azz Scotty. Caught half a mile away in a pop up thunderstorm open cab skid steer loader cleaning up the log landing area.

I wanted to thank everyone came to the GTG.

It was another successful one with I believe 8 1/2 dump truck loads cut and split and 6 very large tricky trees very close to and leaning towards the power lines that were rigged and taken down and cleared off of the range in a short amount of time by and awesome crew which consisted of our members and members of the sportsman's club.
Everyone was safe and no one got hurt. Well except there was an incident with a 90 year old member of the sportsman's club that insisted on working was helping out with the event as a part of the club's work day.
A pile of firewood collapsed on top of him knocking him to the ground and he was partially buried. He ended up being ok but he had some pretty nasty cuts and was bleeding. He seemed ok and was in good spirits and was still up walking around. It can be hard to keep some determined people down!

I hope that everyone had a good time and made it home safe!

I'd like to give a very special thanks to everyone out there that donated to this very special raffle which 100% of the money's collected is going to Isaac, a 4 year old who has been recently diagnosed with leukemia and has a minimum of a 2 1/2 year battle ahead of him. It will be going to help pay for the families medical bills and trips back and forth to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. We ended up collecting $655 which I'll be delivering this the family tomorrow.

Also Rick the caretaker at the club got some drone footage of Scotty Overkill dropping one of the big tree's. Rick is going to send me the link once he gets it posted to YouTube.

Also mark it on your calendars I have it locked in for next year's GTG with be the weekend BEFORE father's day. June 11th and 12th 2027!

Trout from the gun club pond late Saturday night. Fly fishing only there and this guy couldn't pass up the rubber legged terrestrial. signal-2026-06-21-09-41-22-227-8.jpg

I think TurboDiesel did a great job with the prayer before dinner Saturday evening. I'm sure even walt would have approved. What a great dinner and great group of people

Gotta add my .02 cents here.....

I didn't get alot of pictures, I wasn't aware going in that we were dropping some big hammers up in the silhouette pistol range and that kept me busy all day....also I didn't have many saws with me (which is rare) but I did have my Redfin-ported 064 and my ported red lever 044 which did quite nicely all day felling some biggins....

And I had a top notch crew working with me all day up on the hill. John, Dan, Duane, Joe, Rodney and several fellas from the club made the hard work seem like play! I was too dang busy to get pics. I did take a small video and post it to Facebook, I'll try and get it on here at some point.

I wanna tell you all how much I love yinz, the whole group of people there were just phenomenal, the weather was spectacular til right up to the end when it dumped around 1.5" of rain on us and my truck windows were down for the whole storm (funny story there, also), even that didn't dampen the spirits during the raffle where all that money was raised for little Isaac from all those amazing prizes donated by you guys and gals. What a weekend! Hoping to see many of you at Walts this fall as we are planning on being there!

That's one great guy there! He and his wife Holly are amazing people, very glad to know them both. She brought with her the best carrot cake I've ever eaten!! And Kev's venison bites done in the smoker were bangin!

John, that piece was incredible......you did an amazing job on that!

I was sooooo tempted to take it when my name was drawn but I left it for the next guy who I clearly can see was elated with it!
