Decided its time to end my "cabin fever" thread since its now Summer. Making firewood the last thing on most hoarders minds, but us die hards labor on.

Found on FBM an easy score of bucked green and dead red maple plus some dead ash. Just had to wheelbarrow it out. A little saw action with the 241. Split at storage after. Amounted to roughly 40% of a cord. Lot of shorts due to the wrong length. Rest for general cordage.

I'll update this thread as I hoard more wood. Just wish I could post pics as I have them! :tears:

You can learn a new trick. You're not at that "Old Dog" stage.

Trust the force..... you can resize pictures to be able to post them. It's a PITA, but is what it is.

Since it’s the internet with no pics you can say it was your biggest BL score ever.
I’m going to pick up a truckload of SBH this afternoon

We could have Eric VW come and inspect our scores as they happen. IIRC he is the picture police.

How big is the SBH? :woodsign:

24” 50’ long and straight as a telephone pole jk
but I did split some white oak this morning that was stringy as hek. Didn’t even bother taking a pic since I can’t post it. The splits were so fuzzy it had me wondering if it was a freak hybrid with elm.

Photo documentarian and anally retentive grammarian. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    I'm with ya Brad.
Not that easy with an iPhone. If I can't at least screen shot and/or crop, it ain't happenin'. A little discouraging but,, it is what it is. The days of pic heavy image sharing is over.

Well it's hitting temps of mid 90s so I'll be back at it. I have a dead BL that was a barber chair that finally came down and some large cherry branches blocking trails. But first I need to give the stacks a haircut.

Moved a face cords worth of bundle splits next door to stack. A good part of the last row stacks had fallen over. One side of the splits had dried faster. Stack had listed due to one side drying faster. It does get good afternoon sun. Restacked that plus the wood I brought over. Had a bundle order to fill as well. Luckily in full shade there.
Ill move the rest of them today. Have three more orders to fill so need to get those going.

Picking up 6 garbage cans of lumber cutoffs at 8 am was the extent of my firewoodin today.

7am - 12pm firewood schedule in effect for the next couple months. Plan is to finish filling up this winters personal use racks, cover up a long run of stacked wood and make more.

Move and stacked the rest of the bundle splits. Quarter cord of nuggets got moved and put into bins. Both bins are nearing the top. Freed up some room at storage. Had a delivery postponed due to the heat. Customer who stacks while I unload. 85* is his cut off temp.

Have an easy small score to cut in the morning plus more bundles to assemble and deliver later.

Sounds like summer sales are up.

I know I have zero interest in a campfire with this heat wave underway.

Ive been doing a little better with warm weather sales the last couple years. Bundle sales are normal for this time of year. Three of the regulars just happened to need a refill at the same time. I often drive by 4 of my 6 regulars so I can deliver at my convenience if they are low.

This mornings score postponed as I'm not feeling it...well feeling the results of yesterday's heat. If I didn't have the bundles to do I'd hit the score.
