I've noticed a lot of wood deliveries going by my house in the last couple weeks. Way more than normal for this time of year. Maybe people realize fuel prices are high now and more than likely will be this winter.

Thanks for the tip but unfortunately I'm not that worried about it. If I can't easily post pics anymore, oh well.

Beautiful weather here today. VERY unusual to have temps in the low 70's and dew points in the upper 50s. That's typically early November weather for us. This is one of the coolest springs and early summers I can remember...and I'll take it.

Supposed to get some spicy weather tomorrow evening.

Last day of work this week. Taking tomorrow off for no real reason other than to goof off (had some plans that didn't work out and calendar is clear so I'm going to take advantage).

End of the week we're heading out of town to do a college campus visit for my daughter.

Started painting sunday afternoon, and Finally finished this job about 10:30 last night. There was a lot of railings, ladders and footholds involved. I've roofed 12/12 pitch and hardly batted an eye, but trying to work on that gable end is a nerve wracking experience. I'm glad I won't have to do it again anytime soon.

If the temp is too cold, light a fire. That is the reason you have a stove.

Not much going today. A little mowing . We had a tornado hit the north end of the county. Lots of damage and lines down. A lady sought shelter in her bathtub. Tornado took she and Toto for a ride, about thirty feet. She has a broken ankle. Her pup is safe and sound. Her double wide home was obliterated.

getting the corn cooker set up for our famous roasting ear booth at the fair.

Anything over 8 mb it's too much. I think it's technically 8.1 mb.

    Screenshotting works.

Went to the Milwaukee Brewers baseball game last night vs Cleveland. Great game, what with a supplier of mine and they had a tent with bbq. Pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket. They had all of the good sides too, it was made by an employee of theirs and it was really good. I had a brisket sandwich. They had really good beer as well, so that's was nice. The tent was a good call as it rained a bit, but it let up when we needed to go into the stadium. The roof was closed on the stadium so that wasn't an issue either.

I mowed my lawn tonight. I've officially gotten the hang of the zero turn mower. I have the 1 handed driving for certain times, and I can do nice power slides when I want:D.

I always like to mow on Thursday nights if I can. That way the Ken looks great before the weekend and I'm not waiting precious weekend time.

I fired up the LP furnace yesterday morning for a couple cycles myself.

After my fiasco of cleaning the furnace and stove this year, I'm putting off using them as long as I can!

I haven't cleaned stove, pipe, hearth, etc yet. I don't think I'm done with small fires yet.

I actually had a small fire this afternoon. The house was cold and damp.
