    Hi all,
It’s been a bit since I’ve on the forum. Still chugging away with wood and well set up for next year or 2 for dry wood.
I wanted to ask what you all do for chainsaw tune up. I have the echo 4920 which is a decent but I don’t think professional saw. I just replaced the spark plug , air and fuel filters. Do you guys do anything else?

When I replace fuel filters, check the fuel line condition. I keep extra on hand in case it needs refreshed.

Good to see you visiting the club Steve.

More or less the same. Digging into them not my thing.

IF I was ever motivated enough I'd probably clean the inside real good...if that is.

Great to hear from you Steve. Stop in more often!

    Thanks guys!
Fuel line looked good. Saw only about 18 months old. Trying to be better with maintenance

I think most fuel filters can go a handful of years, one can test, blown through them. I think many remove a spark arrestor, if it’s in the muffler I’d check it once in a while. If they get plugged, can really bog down the engine.

I flip the bar fairly often, mostly in conjunction with a chain switch. I recently sharpened a chain, usually in my vise, two teeth at a time with a round file. I squirt some grease in the bar holes, when I think about it.

I like to occasionally open the saw up a bit and clean out the grunge. I'll pull the recoil and clutch/bar plate to get that stuff the air gun normally misses or can't get. To justify the extra work I tell myself I'm making the saw lighter. Good time to visually inspect as well.
