Just one? I know the dogs are there and can help make bears think twice, but at my old place we had bears that walked just on the other side of the dog pen while all 3, large dogs were going crazy. And, of course it would go anywhere else on the property including the deck One time it pushed open the gate at the top of the deck stairs on the way in, and got confused because it closed and it had to go over on the way out when I opened the slider and yelled at it.

I haven't seen evidence the local bear has visited my property yet. Now that I think of it, I haven't seen any sightings on the local FB page letting people know its around. I'm 4 blocks from the center of town and school bus stops right in front of my house so people post to let others know to be careful with their kids, chickens and dogs.

I saw one; could have been more; yes when angus was 2 he chased one as it was about his size and he wanted to play. It was walking up tree line 100 yards away. Hes older and wiser now, I texted my friends and neighbors so they know

There has been several reports of bear in our area. It seems they are scouting out all the bird feeders. Someone was camping in the village park and got a picture of a cub. Don't know where mama was. Of course many are scared. I put up welcome signs for the bears.

I had the exact twin to that truck a few years ago, low miles n everything...but it had been a plow truck all its life so it was a crusty pig underneath. I put a bunch of work into it before giving up and selling it for pretty much break even (not including all my time!):hair: to a guy looking for an off-road tow truck at his junkyard.
Should have left that one right where I found it!!!

Kind of an unusual shop project this morning - making a mobile deer blind base for a box blind on a 5' platform. This is not an "over the road" setup...just to be able to move it to a couple different spots on the property. It will be properly anchored to the ground for wind.

My metal fab skills are nowhere near as good a my wood skills, nor are my tools. My son is going to do the welding at the shop where he works. I'm just trying to get it mocked up and ready for him.

This little trailer has sat in the barn out at the property for 5 or 6 years without moving. No idea where the title is for it, if dad even ever had one....and it's super small at 38" x 60". Probably couldn't get much out of it if I tried to sell it....for sure less than what I'd spend on tires, axle, coupler, and steel.

I cut out all the wiring, removed the safety chains, and fenders. I had to cut the top rail of to get enough length....but the ol' death wheel worked pretty good on it.

Bought a stick of 6"x2"x3/16" channel for the outriggers and welded some flanges on. The jacks will get welded to the flanges....the outriggers welded to the trailer. Harbor Freight only had 2 jacks....having 2 more shipped to me.

Oh no, I hope she heals well from that.

And I have been bemoaning to myself that I seem to be getting the beginning stages of trigger finger on my right-hand middle finger. I had that same issue with my left-hand middle finger way back some time between 2006 & 2010 (I remember where I was working at the time, just not exactly which year it was). I will now count my blessings that the issue isn't nearly as bad as your Bride's.

Surgeon said her middle finger would be crooked but fully functional; if she wanted it to be perfect she would need surgery with pins. She chose no surgery.

FYI you made an impression she described you as the strong independent slender lady with a green thumb and says thank you for well wishes

Did you have to have surgery for that?

The last two morning walks have been through squadrons of mosquitos.

I'm gonna have to call them morning runs if this continues! And who can honestly say they enjoy morning runs?

TrinitySouth99 haven't seen you on in awhile. Picked up some 12 footers in the van this morning and thought of you. Note the amount of room left. 16s probably hang out the door 2 ft.

I was lucky and a steroid shot worked. That shot was painful! The needle was huge and they didn't use a local (said shooting in the local would be just as painful). They stick the needle into the joint area, and as the stuff is being pushed in, they sweep the needle around.

My understanding is that sometimes the shot will only give relief for a year, so more are needed later. Or, if it works (or doesn't work) for a shorter time, surgery would have been indicated.
