Today I was out back working in the garage. NICE weather, mid 60's :) I had a open Beer on my table and had walked away from it for a minute. Picked it up and took a mouthful of Beer and got STUNG!! on the inside of my lip by a wasp! I spit him out, but he got me good and lit me up before I did!!!, I didn't think of getting the camera, but I swelled up from my lip up into my nose area. I'm not allergic to stings but damm he got me good.

Just a reminder, it's early in spring. Bees, Hornets and Wasps are out. I am usually pretty good with tapping on my Beer or soda/drink. It's the time of the season, I'm sure this has happened to some of you but I just wanted to put it out there! Have a good summer... Dave.

A Buddy of mine, who was helping me build my garage over 25 years ago, swallowed one taking a drink from a pop can. Stung the crap out of his throat on the way down. Luckily he didn't need an emergency room visit. From then on there were covers on open cans.

Yeah, been there done that too! Was a long time ago and never one since but I’m more careful about checking the can/bottle. Hopefully no bad after effects!

I feel your pain WeldrDave , a few years ago I walked thru my front yard barefooted to get my mail. I stepped on a yellow-jacket wasp and dropped immediately to the ground. Two minutes later I was unable to get my shoe on due to the swelling. Time and Benadryl finally took care of the pain.

    Yikes!

My oldest step daughter had that happen a couple years ago. One of the hazards of the season. The yellow jackets get worse as the Summer progresses. They seem to like sweets.

Hopefully Chrissy kissed it to make it better!:D
