Fear not, kind sirs. Our engineering is guaranteed to work...until it don't...... The bottom tote is strapped to the forks frame at the back and then the front was clamped with wood block and very large screw thru the holes at the fork tips. Each tote is strapped with at least one, most had 2 rachet straps to each other. We put the gate side toward the tractor, so solid sides are what I work against. Normally only got 3 high, 5 was stretching it, I felt fairly safe, Miz Carol was nervous... Already of a better way to use the totes for this. Got some cages that we won't cut, and bolt them together .
I am not surprised that the supervisor was going If something happened, she wouldn't get her new flower bed finished.
Maybe this explains how we had the front of the tote fastened to the forks... Holes in forks is past the tote We used these blocks and some big screws thru forks to hold it down Next time we will use some flat metal and bolt thru forks...
Secure as it may have been, did you feel it swaying at all with all those totes stacked? Quite the ingenuity!
Have to admit that seeing you on those 5 totes had me puckering! But I guess "all's well that ends well". Nice beds and firewood!
Heck, I've done sketchier things than that during safety meetings! Could've put a step ladder in that top one yet...
It actually felt very stable, more so than some ladders and scaffolding I've been on during my construction career doing electrical work...
