It was in the city limits, so it was staged roadside to be hauled to the dump. Moment of silence for all the BL that goes through the tub grinder.
He told me there were nails in it so I was glad I didn’t have to cut the trunk pieces. I brought my 462, 400, 261, but only had to use the 261 to trim up the limbs.
I’ve plenty of wood to process so it can sit a while. I’ll keep and sell some. Had to sell all my cooking wood last winter to fulfill all the orders.

 

I saw this guy as I was leaving the NF with a load. He must live close.

You don't ever have extra or don't scrounge that much now?

 

I can understand that. I sure didn't like seeing the 2 "retirement" sheds get empty this winter... That was 14.5 cords of premium white oak and hickory. I want to get our sheds full again and only selling what we put in totes.
But the wood we sold paid off the stump grinder...

 

Poor truck spends all its time hauling wood or towing my boat.

 

Wednesday was a busy day. Another load of alder, then connected on an ad for free hemlock. Got a load of that for my parents then a second load for myself.

blacktail Very nice looking truck! I love those old Toyota T100's and first Gen Tundras. Your truck looks to be in amazingly good shape! I also am on the tundras.com first gen forum There is a guy over there from Oregon that has loaded truck photos and I suggested he check this sight out as he would fit right in.

 

I might very well still have my T100 if it weren’t for the severe amount of decal under the body. Body was excellent.

Rust is a killer on them. I'm nowhere near the rust belt and mine has a lot more rust under it than I'd like.

 

I wouldn't mind a 1st gen tundra for my next truck, but they go for a premium price.

 

In 2010 I think I paid 13 for my 03. Zero regret, very low cost of ownership.

 

The Wood Wolverine Did the frame rust out on yours? I have a love/hate relationship with any type of ice melt product. It's so hard on vehicle frames and not good for the rivers and lakes that it ends up in. I'll add an already shared photo just to stay on the threads track.

 

On the 03.. the underside was in excellent shape when I bought it. I didn’t do any type of treatment, which I regret, but when the factory recall came primarily for rusting cross members near the spare, mine got special care. A friend was a service writer for a local dealership. They removed my bed and inspected, it passed, and they sprayed the frame with something. He showed pics but he had his guy go the extra mile and whatever it was lasted many years. When I saw that begin to break down, I started with the Fluid Film and I’ve been doing that regularly ever since. It’s in decent shape but definitely not perfect. The rocker panel seam is starting to show some signs so I apply to that more frequently. The body aside from that area is rust free. Overall, for an 03 in the rust belt, it’s doing very well.
The T100, everything under the body was deteriorated.
