This is getting beyond ridiculous. I'm going to leave the site now and come back later because it is not taking seconds to do anything but is taking minutes now and even then it sometimes comes back screwed up. The likes button will try but after a couple minutes it just stops trying. As it is we have a part time forum but what will happen if it gets even worse?
Maybe my patience is wearing thin too, but........... The forum is irritatingly slow this morning. I keep wondering if one of these mornings there'll be no more FHC to log onto......
It is a struggle bus this morning with all areas loading slow. Maybe AS has launched a DOS attack on us.
I have tried 7 time to get on the site. This is the first time any thing showed up other than a time out warning. It's getting worse everyday. It's almost impossible to use.
It was ridiculously bad this am, until just now. Green screen, slow AF, errors , partial loads like SimonHS showed earlier. These errors too earlier
I don't understand why it isn't being fixed? What is the missing ingredient? Time? Money? Technology? Knowledge?
It's a host issue, like I said I'm not a computer guru. I cannot do anything more than send these issues to the owner of the servers that host us. Nobody here profits a dime from the site, including myself. Its all volunteer. I actually paid out of pocket to renew the forums for the year. I'm sorry. I'll send Ron (the owner of our host site) a link to this thread and see what he thinks can be done.
Thanks Scotty, just know you and everyone else's efforts here are much appreciated! I don't think I am alone here in being more than willing to contribute to expenses in some way...especially if it would help things run smoother and be more reliable (less headache for y'all too!) I'm sure dealing with these glitches every so many weeks/months gets old for everyone behind the scenes too.
I’m occasionally getting website can’t be reached messages. If this is the end, adios hombres, I’ve never been on a forum this long and I will miss the camaraderie. catch ya at the wood pile
Kept getting the 522 error earlier as well. Weird though as everything can be fine and then -bam- the spinning throbber wheel of impending death, then the 522 error. View attachment 469234 I also have a 5G cel modem from T-mobil with a cheap low priority plan. Sometimes when the network gets congested or has problems my service goes to sh!t - usually just painfully slow - sometimes I get bumped off completely. So I'm kinda used to having to just close my laptop lid and go do something productive every now and then. I could pay more for better service, but zI'm cheap.
I'm sure it'll get ironed out...there's been bumps in the road before. If it doesn't I might hafta kidnap Scotty's Contra...
It has gotten to the point that I ask myself if I really want to read some threads since opening them is such a slow process.
