Had 4 tons delivered from HD and my pallet jack was useless. The reason? the pallets had 3 wood slasts at the bottom that were close together, so the wheels would not go thru. And, the pallet jack legs are not long enough to hit the space between the 4 slat and the end slat. Had expected to move 1 ton by hand, since it was going into basement, but instaead moved all 4 tons by hand.

Ah well, got my exercise for the day.

Didn't help that the guy managed to not drop the forklift low enough to push one of the pallets in, but instead pushed the pile halfway off the pallet before he heard me yell for him to stop. I had to tape up the end of one bag, stuff 2 bags into new bags (in completion, no removal of pellets) and 1 bag was still fine. That last bag was completely demolished but I managed to sweep up the vast majority of pellets and dump them into other bags. Fortunately, I had swept out the garage really well, so didn't have to worry about rocks and stuff except for parts of the pallet that splintered off.

I turned the picture of the bottom of the pallet so it would be easier to see the delima with the pallet jack. If the legs of the jack were longer and reached the big gaps, it would have worked. The pallets used had been repaired several times. While moving this particular pallet to stack in the yard, one of th eend slats fell off in my hands and I could see about 2 nails that were underneath where it had been.

Last weekend I shut the stove off for some reason or other, and the symptoms came back of it not obeying the thermostat to start up when in Room / Auto. So, I would manually turn it to Stove/Auto to start up and get the house warmed up, then turn it to Room / Auto to have it shut down. Since that was basically during early morning hours, I just wnet with it.

Yesterday, while it was cool, rainy and gloomy outside, I realized I had bought another room temp probe as back up years ago. Fortunately, I had stored it in a place that actually made sense, so it was easy to find :) After installing that, the P43 is working correctly - and has continued to do so. I've already ordered another temp probe. At this time, I do not have the thermostat set up.

Thanks for sharing the details of the symptoms and the solutions. I too will now stock some spare temperature probes.

Thinking about taking a look at this xxv. Definitely would need to be refurbished.

The joys of owning multiple tractors. Flats-slow leaks. I'm on day 2 of tire changes, flat repairs and changing leaky valve stems. Still not done, Maybe another day to go. More if I get a few spare rims and new tires.

Bought this puppy to help with seating the beads!! So much easier than the rope and tug or force it with a propane torch!! Did I loose an eyebrow?

Tuesday I performed a deep clean and put the P43 to bed for the season.
