I would like a truckette. Sincerely. But one not as close to the asphalt as my mothers old Odysse minivan thing.

    Heads up Scotty Overkill

The FHC site is almost inaccessible this morning, and so slow it is unusable. Many members are reporting similar issues.

It took me ages to get into the site and uploading the photos below failed multiple times.

It is showing error 522 today, not error 525 like the other day.

And I'd be willing to give the member who has the remedy a full lifetime membership to FHC! :D

Maybe it might help if others would send messages about this? Otherwise it appears we are stuck with this problem daily.
I will say it is not quite so bad so far today but still has times when the wait time is frustrating.

Yes, I lived during that time. The Lincoln town car and the Ford crown Victoria were the last ones I think. Also, back when most cars were body on frame, there wasn't such a thing as crossover or CUVs... They were either body on frame wagons or suburban/ broncos/ ramchargers , land rivers etc...

I'd love to have a trucklet for running around in. I went on a day trip with a coworker in his then new maverick hybrid fwd. I even drove it back to work as my coworker was getting tried. Engineers are known for spouting out BS. Remember the fuel saving cylinder deactivation systems from the 70's and 80's? Those were so well engineered. Lol. Wait, when got new versions of that and that's going so well. Lol. There's always someone somewhere thinking they know better than someone else. It's best to just not burst their bubble. But I still do it anyway because I can back it up.
I've also rented a Prius back when my wife and I got married in 2011. It was a nice little car and all 6'4" and 250 lbs for great in it and was comfortable driving it. We put more than 1000 miles on that rental Prius all over northern California. I think we might have put 1600 miles on it, if my memory serves me right. I have no issues in a regular cab pickup. Granted the last regular cab trucks I've driven were a 94 Chevy 2500, then an 84 Chevy 3500. I've driven a Ford F-150 XLT reg cab straight 6 2wd manual 8 ft bed with my dad out from Wisconsin to Utah to pick up my oldest brother from college in the late 90's. Dad was shorter than all of us boys, as we are all 6'2" to 6'4". That wasn't the most comfortable trip out, and worse on the way back because then it was my brother, me and my dad in a regular cab with a manual transmission. His prior work truck was a XL 5.0 automatic 8' bed with a cap. That truck would have been a little nicer, just for the v8 and the automatic. We had an 88 extended cab v6 ranger that was a 5spd. I needed the extended cab to drive it. A friend had a 4-cylinder manual 83 or 84 2.0. It wasn't when a 2.3 as those were not available yet I think. It was regular cab as the super cab wasn't even a thing yet. That was cramped for a tall person to when ride in the passenger seat, let alone drive.

It wasn't just the frame...heck the cars often had the same engine/trans/rear axle as some of the trucks! Cars were just low-profile trucks with lighter springs and no bed! (but in some cases, a larger trunk than the bed of "not a truck" models now!)

The one good thing about the current state of the site is I will be spending less time on it than I usually do. This has been going on for weeks and only getting worse. Nobody seems to care.

Ok 41FanForLife how tall are you? Is first thing you do.. put seat all way back? My lil bro Nate is 6’8 and can’t drive zero turn, his knees (on most) are higher than the bars. Drives Toyota Corolla all time, no one sits behind him.

I can sit in a church pew; I don’t want to ride cross country in one.

Wrong on the nobody cares but right on the state of the site. I would fix it but have no control over that part.
