Gonna try to load up some pics...if the site will cooperate long enough to do it?! What's up...seems like the wheels about to fall off this sucker!?
You are surely welcome, my friend. Glad we were able to get the saw at the last minute, there in Wayland. We were blessed this year and want to give back when we can. We enjoyed the prizes we won too. Thanks to all who donated prizes. FHC family is the BEST...
Work at the Ebersole Center... Firewood for the center... Pruning and cleaning up limbs at Center... Brad showing us the pitch mass borer... Working at Adam's place... Enjoying some splitter time with MAF143 Mr Staynor helped me check the tune on the Echo XS4910 Bone Collector made sure we had plenty to do. Moving empty and full totes Helping on the splitters... She's thinking "what am I gonna do with this crazy group of guys" Miz Carol did some work too. She said she was sure glad we didn't cut wood this big. And she won a bottle of walt syrup... We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the work, food and fellowship. Thanks for hosting such a great GTG, Adam. It was nice meeting your family too.
Possibly? I would have checked it out a little more, but I had just walked clear around the lake, and was distracted with posting those pics of the fire trucks and the burnt field
Well, we are home finally. No speeding tickets or dents in GODZILLA. With the tourists traveling we did also, we needed 1.5 miles to be at 2100 miles traveled. A wonderful trip that I would gladly do again. Had a thunderstorm early this morning in NC, so when we got to the Pretty Place, the clouds/fog was very thick, couldn't see the valley, but it's still a nice place. Maybe we can go back in the fall.
Glad you and the Mrs. are home safe ,we didn't get a chance to chat much this weekend. We will make up for it in October
Sounds good Walt, maybe we'll just bs instead of working at your place. We only made what? 25 cord last year.
Awesome pics of an awesome group doing awesome things for a community! Proud to call you all extended family, sad I couldn't make it out! Food looked incredible (I know it was, been to many GTG's and they never dissappoint!), and the fellowship even better. Proud of you all. How much wood was processed! Looks like the weather cooperated for yinz!
It was a great time for sure! Many GREAT people and AWESOME food. Not sure how much wood but I sure felt processed!
I dunno for sure, but I think I heard 30 some ibc totes filled for Adam, plus some piled on the ground, and I know I helped split a cord or so at the center, but I'm not sure if there was maybe more split before I got there and it was stacked elsewhere? I know Ben said it was easily a couple years worth of firewood for them...so I bet there was more elsewhere.
