I'm one click away from pulling the trigger on 25' of factory square ground from Frawleys in Iowa, who seem to have it cheapest. They're another place that I have zero complaints with. It beats giving my business to Jeff Bezos.
72CL025U 25' 3/8 pitch Square Ground Chisel saw chain .050
    EDIT: Ordered. :emb: Free shipping!

Frawleys has never disappointed me, plus I like supporting small businesses. The factory angles on that chain won’t be the best you’ve ran, if you’ve never tried it before. Not implying it won’t cut for chit.

I figured it was ground more for durability than speed, which is fine. After the first sharpening I’ll give the side plate some more forward lean, and maybe the top plate a steeper angle depending on where it’s at. The main thing is that I won’t have to trash my wheel converting round to square when it’s time to sharpen.

I use the Dukes 3/8lp. I consider it as close to stihl chain as you can get. In fact, if he ever offers a Stihl 23RSP style, I'll be using it instead of said 23RSP. All my saws run the 3/8LP except one. That's the one I run the stihl chain on.

I run Stihl RS full chisel on my saws. Ill look for deals on eBay/FBM. One thing I've recently done thanks to Eric Wanderweg is buy longer chains at a discount and he shortens them to 20/25". Matter of fact I have a deal in the works for seven 20 & 28" chains for $30. FBM find that I need to meet up with. Seems its easier to buy more than have a sharpen-a-thon.:emb:

I have used Oregon and Carlton in the past but have settled on Stihl.

So it has to rain some time, I got a dozen or so needing sharpen, My guy, I previously talked about an old timer, spun chain and sharpened chain. He could smoke in his shop, got cataracts can’t see to do it anymore.
