I get your frustration. I used to have every Tom, duck and Harry who needed to turn around use my small driveway - even large delivery vehicles. (it is small in both width and length, shown in red in the pic). I've had vehicles make 5 point turns in my driveway/yard to turn around and go back to the road. They would even do it in winter. They would turn off of 149/Bridge (top, right street) and realize they needed to go 1 more block before their turn. Stupid to use my driveway, as it is easier just to go around the block by taking a right at the road that is right across from my driveway (and easily seen).

I finally just started parking my Explorer further closer to the road (useable driveway is only 30' long (usable in the sense that I can actually open the driver's door - it's another 10' to garage).

Interesting that the site shows the name "duck" as Duck. Thought I made a typo, and went in to change it. Nope, here is what is there underneath the mask

Man, old man winter is really digging his heels in this year.

My area is getting a bit less, and I don't expect it to last long. But the ram will have another two trips to work before the week is out.

I learned to stay away from yellow snow long ago but I wouldn't have a clue what to do if it was falling from the sky. :D

Nice! We subscribed to the same practice about 35 years ago and haven’t had a mortgage or car payment since!
    Congratulations

Color coded weather alert system. Yellow basically means be careful driving, maybe avoid it if you can. Some stores may close.

Orange warning is more likely to result in damage to buildings, washouts, things like that.

Red warning....put it this way. never seen it actually happen yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I've often said that if you have to finance your first new/Newish vehicle, try to keep it twice as long as the loan term. Once it's paid off, keep putting the "payment" in savings. Inflation happens, but the interest savings will offset it at least partially. When you've saved enough for a new vehicle, you can pay cash. Keep putting the "payment" in savings and you'll have cash for another new one in several years. If you can keep the vehicle longer than that, you'll have extra money for other things. Repeat as needed.

The biggest flaw in the idea (or working against the idea) is many people don't have the discipline to keep saving that payment every month without the wolf at the door demanding it.
And I'm somewhat guilty, I have a truck payment right now and likely will have one on my next vehicle purchase, unless the ram surprises me in the longevity department. But I did a somewhat necessary and very worthwhile renovation on the house last year. I'm working towards that goal from here on out.

The Ridgeline is made in the Odyssey chassis, despite how Honda wants to paint the picture.

    brenndatomu , the 2v 5.4 it's the most dependable 5.4.

Eh, loving husbands like to see their Brides have a vehicle they like, IME. You're just fine regardless of who's driving it :)

TBH it suprises me how many vehicles you go through. Here we have them 10-20 years or more. I heard there is bad salt on roads that way that rusts thing? Idk, cheaper for us to pay for repairs than the cost of a new vehicle (down payment, extending loan terms, registering and insuring a newer vehicle etc.).

Here once frame rusts out vehicle is unsafe will not pass safety inspection. Salt is bad but calcium chloride is worse; why micro industry like car undercoating with fluid film or like. Is a real thing so vehicle lasts longer than the payments

The gen 2 Ridgeline is made on the gen 3 pilot platform with a welded on extra frame. Its a truck regardless of what the naysayers claim. Just not a traditional desined truck. The gen one was built on the Acura MDX platform.
