We call it a Garry Oak but it is largely known as an Oregon White Oak. Great firewood if you can get it but takes 3 years+ to age.
Hey Dennis, I have heard rumors that you really like a warm (Hot) house! In any case, I hope you folks are staying comfortably "warm"!
Well it looks like Garry and Doug keep you very warm! More or less the same with any oak here. Im probably the only seller that bothers to let it dry multiple years.
Got home last night to 64 in the house so lit a small fire to take the edge off. Had someone come out to quote the excavation and I told him to add pushing over 6 mature oaks and hauling the roots out but leave the rest. He wasn’t convinced I realized the amount of wood and that I could handle it For what I could save by keeping the entire tree I could buy an old used chipper for the brush!
Was 88 yesterday. The motor for my AC fan unit went out. Ordered one. Opened it up and they sent an ice maker replacement motor. Cooling off sunday so they say.
We have a few nights coming up that will warrant wood fires. I would rather burn the stuff that's in the house and on the porch than put it away to store for the summer.
81 this afternoon 44 now Refired the stove as we will have 32 tonight, 33 and 31 for the following 2 nights. Hmmm. Is what it is.....
