Still got a few days before any spring things happen in my gardens - LOL. Although, supposed to be near 50 for another day or two, so meltage will pick up - especially if we get some wind.

It's an indoor corn plant that I've had for decades. It sent out a flower stalk for the 1st time.

This flower stalk on the indoor corn plant, has been filling the house with a scent between an Easter lily and lily-of-the-valley. Strong, pleasant smell.

    IMG_20260321_102231.jpg

The weight of the flowers caused the stalk to fall over.

I saw some green yesterday. Which is actually not that exciting since these are evergreen plants anyway.

Last fall I found a package of bulbs that had been in the fridge for a couple of years. I wasn't sure what they were (they just had a number on thee bag), but decided to plant them around a Rose of Sharon in the south side garden. Saturday, as I was looking to see if anything was poking up, I found this :)

Usually the Giant Hyacinths in the shrub garden are the first to bloom. Not this year though

It took 8 days for my next flowers to appear. Interesting that this one patch of daffodils is blooming while none of the others are (although they do have the starts of buds). The hyacinths are not open yet, but should be in a couple of days.
