Good morning. 15f, heading to 58f today. Just another one of our daily 40 degree temperature swings, but this time it is to the positive for a change.

Sounds like a great day. We normally get 30+ degree swings down here, even in winter. Be cold at night, then warms up decent in the day.

Yesterday was chilly enough I wore Carhartts again. Today supposed to be warmer but starts at 25 with a dusting of snow. That won't last long.

I am amazed but happy the county finally graded our roads. The guys who come to our GTGs though our road got bad at times but this year they got much worse. Of course when they got it graded we got some pouring rain so now it is mud. Still, the mud doesn't beat up the vehicles like all the holes did. I don't mind driving 10 mph or less for a mile if it means not having our road as bad as it got this year.

I'm glad they graded your road. It does have some nice potholes.

We live on a dirt road that gets lots of traffic as a shortcut between 2 main roads. Every time we get a significant rain it destroys the road and has to be graded. Over the 33 years I've lived here I bet they have spent enough on gravel, diesel, and labor to have paved the road a couple times.

The last time I was on the township board the price to pave a mile was so far out of our budget I doubt we'll ever see a newly paved road here. By now it is probably over $300,000 per mile.

Well I lived on a dirt road and town paved it. It was a dirt road connecting two paved roads and only dirt town road in area, I still miss it but not the holes where dirt town road in pavement transition

We'll probably just make lumber and then try to sell a portion of it.
Cutting to order is always so frustrating, as one never seems to have the appropriate logs for what a customer thinks they "need".

Yesterday was just a plain old winter day. Not a spring day, no....this was cold and windy!

Today begins with bright sunshine and the promise of breaking into the 30's-with some good luck!

The snow pack in the woods has a nice firm crust on it and the lab mix made great use out of not breaking through by running all get out wherever he wanted to go. Just running and zig zagging and teasing the Bernese just enough where he would chase him briefly. I swear that lab was smiling and laughing the whole while!

Morning all. Frosty out this morning with clearing skies. Should really be a nice day.

The Ten Commandments describing God's character, have mostly been removed from public buildings over the years. Have they been removed from your heart as well? I found this interesting book which discusses how the Ten Commandments are still very relevant in our lives today. I hope you enjoy the read.

    Happy Sabbath everyone.
