The secret handshake is only for lifetime FHC members......paid in full! (and paid in advance..........and CASH!!!)
Our brother has paid much bigger price than that.... I nominate him for full lifetime membership with executive privileges to the corporate helicopter...
The new hydraulic rear top link came in this morning. Waiting on the 3-point quick attach plate so I can move the pallet forks to the rear and put the grapple back on the front.
Actually.........there is a FHC tattoo symbol. FHC tattoo symbols typically represent the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity, which are foundational concepts in Christianity. These symbols often include designs like a cross, an anchor, and a heart, reflecting their spiritual significance.
The ground was somewhat frozen this morning so I took advantage of it to dig out all those old red oak rounds. Other than some old red oak stump chunks, this stuff is (by far) the oldest wood in the lot that needs to be processed (just about everything else is from 2024-25). I want to get the location where they were cleaned up (they've been sitting there since late 2021) and I don't want to be banned for firewood abuse. I split a few pieces of this stuff last fall and it was all good (even burned a few chunk pieces). Should be a decent amount of splits (some of the rounds are 36" or larger). Ground turned to soup by the time I was done but they're all out by the splitter now. The rest of the wood from where these were scrounged from (an Asplundh hookup Largest scrounge that I can recall.) were split quite a while ago and I still have about 1/4 cord left (nice and seasoned red oak).
That still looks plenty good...I've been working on almost the twin tree to that (type/size) but it was dead standing since the mid 20-teens or so, then it's been on the ground for a couple years too...I've been quartering it up by hand, loading the chunks (barely!) then splitting right off the back of the truck. It has been solid except for the outer inch or two of sapwood...excellent firewood! Pics proof
