Thought it did on Sunday, when it was 70* then woke up to 25* and a inch if snow on the ground this morning.
Things are confirmed with the Ebersole center. I will be meeting with the director next week for any final details. It's coming up fast and the excitement is building here.
amateur cutter Is there a fridge or two at the place to keep food cold? If not it will change what I'm bringing.
Driving by Adam's at some point today. I'll drop a couple punky cottonwood rounds in your driveway. Right in the middle so you won't miss them.
Heads up, I think I forgot to put the address of the center on here. Ebersole Environmental Center 3400 2nd ST. Wayland MI 49348
Okay, update. We just left Ebersole center. Two cabins available, medical person in the third. Tim and Julie, Walt and Robin are slated for those. Kevin and Kelly in my camper on site. Plenty of bunks for everyone else. Two to a room, Plenty of bathrooms, showers etc. Bring sleeping bags or twin bedding for bunks. Queen beds in the cabins. There will be a small group of firefighter trainees there as well. High school students learning to do a controlled burn. There are laundry facilities as well. We have three full sized refrigerators available. Indoor or outdoor dining depending on weather. Limited availability of the big kitchen due to food service for the other group. Bring chairs as usual. Full covered cooking area for Kevin and Dwight. Power water etc. We need a head count asap please. I hope to have two crews, one at the center and one here. All meals will be together at Ebersole.
Dorm room. Dorm bathrooms. Outside of cabins. Inside is bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen plus living room.
Sounds like a great time with a great group but I won't be able to make it out. Just too much stuff going on here. I have a charity cut/clean-up that I'm going to organize for my buddy sometime toward the end of the month, on top of tree work and real work and home chores......it never ends. Miss you all and hope to see some of you at our GTG in June.
I'm planning on leaving Thursday the 23rd noon ish... should be there around 5 ish... Just need a bunk. I'm planning on bringing some angus burgers for a lunch or anytime one of the chefs can arrange to char them on a grill. We just got 7 Angus delivered here last Friday afternoon to get them plumped up for this October's date with the freezer. I have a pretty good appetite but these guys hit about 25 pounds of grain a day on top of all the fresh grass and hay they can mow down.
Adam Cindy and I won't need bunks. We are bringing our camper just need power hookup. We can camp at the center or your place.
