Unless it is an emergency, no ordering pellets until at least April 1 (depending on weather and road conditions). Any road that isn't a state road has weight limits of 6k pounds. The only things excluded are home heating fuels - which wood pellets are not recognized as being exempted. One can ask for the town to send an exception permit to the provider, but it is also up to the town. Nominally April 1 should see the end of restrictions, but sometimes it goes later (again, totally up to the town's road maintenance department). Further up north, the towns may go later as a matter of course. My town NEVER lifts the ban early even during milder winters.

I could not get that answer from anyone at the boxstore, Weird!! Just for giggles I tried the other guy in blue. Order went right up to the check out and might have let me order, But I chickened out. I called the orange store and tried to speak with one of the pro staff. He confirmed your assessment on why no delivery. He said construction goods is all they can deliver. We can pick up tons, But their stock is low so no more than 25 bags per order.

So we are just going to get 20 to 25 here and there as long as we can until I can order by the ton. 25 should let us finish the season. Seems many are scrambling to get more as this winter beat up the pellet stashes!! I'm down to 42 bags and doubt we will make it with them. Feel saver with a lil buffer JIC.

Nope, not yet! Picked up 15 bags from TSC. Will get 15 per load as long as they have them. Might get 2 to 3 tons from a pellet house during the spring buy deal(if there is one). Then what we need to fill the stash come fall. Going to get an extra ton or more depending on $$. I don't like this scrounging for pellet stuff one bit!! Rather have more than needed.

Sit on oil until the price is way less than it is now. At least its still a viable option when or if prices are low.

We have loads, Most we've ever seen. First time we've seen then hit the feeders too. Usually just ground scrounging.

Have a few at the feeders here.

Got 30 bags of pellets left. With the return to normal temps for this time of year, those should take us to mid-april using 1 bag a day.

Liver wise she's doing great. She's now a low priority on the transplant list.
She is getting cataract surgery on her right eye in late April.

I guess they dismissed the road weight restriction. Ordered 4 tons this morning. Only because I bet the $319 price tag will be higher come fall. We have enough to finish the season but a buffer will be nice. Can't tell what MN might decide what season she wants to throw at us next!

I'm betting prices will also go up before next fall, so get them when/if you can.
